Wow just downloaded latest experimental update to NMS and thing went from 20-40fps that worked like fucking rock dropped on chainsaw to locked 60fps with almost everything on max. What is more interesting is that frame rate locks actually work now at least 60 fps one as 30 fps lock gives me 32fps which creates judder.

Why is there a player model in the game anyway if it's never shown in the game?

Why are there so many of my country here?
Wait so Empyrion Galactic Survival was basically everything people wanted from No Man's Sky yet people dropped 60$ on that game and most likely will never even hear about Empyrion?
This is just depressing. Show a few pretty screenshots and they eat it right up.
Graphic Whores every one of them.

Why is there a player model in the game anyway if it's never shown in the game?
You know its funny because it shows they had absolutely no intention of having any Multiplayer.

We dont need Empyrion to be as popular as No Man Shit, just popular enough. Let the manboons play with the clone planets and their dildos animals.

Are there any forests/jungles in this game?

Some kind of trees bunched together yes but "forest" and "jungles" are imo invalid here comparison from what i saw personally. Also i never saw big trees always they were like 2x players high max.

Plastic fauna, synthetic animals, the whole fucking universe taken over by a merchant npc race armed with drones which can be destroyed in a few seconds......... I don't know, nonexsistent gameplay aside, even the design docs seem to eb made by dudes with an IQ of 99.

That's because the dev team was tiny, now with this game's rotund success they can get more resources, so stay tuned for their next hit, will you? ;)

Why Isn't it Called No Woman's Sky?

For those of you who have spent the past week wondering why Jezebel has not yet published a review of the long-awaited PC/console game No Man’s Sky, allow us to explain ourselves: we find the name of this “first person space travel” game to be distasteful, offensive, and shamelessly anti-feminist.

Jezebel will not be reviewing—or even playing—No Man’s Sky. In a game that claims to take place inside “an infinite procedurally generated galaxy,” there should be more than enough room for equality.

What makes it funny is that they are just trolling but I'm not 100% completely sure.

Played a bit of Empyrion, it's ridiculous how much better it is even from first impressions (especially since it's still in EA and costs 10 bucks). You start in an escape pod which will crash is 15 seconds and you can steer it so you're already making choices about your survival. The starting planet is earth-like but alien enough (the lower gravity helps with that feeling). I wandered away from my crash site and got greeted by rocketdrone that actually posed danger to me (and the rockets blasted a few holes in the ground, so there's proper terraforming). Then I saw group of 3 spear wielding creatures walking through the forest but didn't engage.

The graphics are a bit dated but they're consistent - unlike NMS oblivion textures, modern shitfilters and worst dithering pop-in I've ever seen.

The only negative I noticed were the waypoints that you discover from a large distance (something like discovering an iron deposit 500 meters ahead when you have thick forest in front of you) that don't seem to be toggle-able.

Some people have reached over 20 galaxy centers already, and still the same old planets, creatures, plants... nothing new, crazy, exciting... I guess here dies the hope anything interesting is to come anymore. Not even worth to follow on youtube streams.

I was driving on a bike during nighttime and accidentally got stuck into one of those holes D: Barely an hour played and I've already had more fun moments than in 3 hours of NMS.
