>im split between making ekun 2handed or dual wield
But why? Ranged is better for him.

im using a mod that implements cover mechanic like in the tabletop, practically means i have to move him 9/10 times thus spoiling his full attacks.
plus i really want a melee heavy party (since i can get away with like 1 divine/arcane caster).
Are you using tb mod? Just do 5 foot movement every turn. Taking that slight penalty to attacks is still better than losing extra attacks. And even with that penalty ranged is better. damage is comparable and you get one extra attack and you can full attack from round 1 with no need to move forward or wait for enemy to move to you. It also works very well in combination with web spells as melee cannot wade into web easily.

Also you really don't want more than 3 melee guys as many areas are small and they will just be in each other's way. Best balance is 3 melee and 3 ranged and you can even get away with 2 melee and 4 ranged.

And Crane Style is bad without Wing. I'm beginning to suspect it's bad without Monk in any case. You're missing the opportunity cost. Shake it Off has a 30 ft. radius. There are a LOT of very high impact feats.

I simply tend to dip monk and pick the base Crane Style as bonus feat. Don't care enough to get Wing, much less Riposte. They are not supposed to work with offhand occupied anyway.
Base Crane Style is enough to make Defensive Fighting into a sweet deal I rarely disable:
-4 AB and +3 AC goes -2 AB and +4 AC...

I've often done this but with the numbers I'm seeing now it gets a little dwarfed. Unchained anything is of course rock solid approaching busted so you're probably right. I currently have three companions with Wing (open hand only) the hard way so I may be biased.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Sup bros, how tf are you supposed to deal with the ENRAGED GREATER Owlbears, in the swamp witches hut? Im i supposed to come back at like level 8 or 9? Cause these guys are insane. I could cheese them with range but wheres the fun in that.

I just left them alone until I had to go there for one of my artisans. Then I soaked up some of their hits with summons (which die fast) and just layered damage.

When did D&D players forget how to pick their battles? Not rhetorical. Where did this “must clear area” mindset come from?

Closely followed by “must tank and spank.” Owlbears have lousy Reflex and generally low Will, although those have medium. Still no immunities/spell resistance = sitting ducks.

The biggest issue for me at the time and given the spells I had was getting the owlbears concentrated in one area (and focused on my summons/melees) instead of having one make a beeline for my back row casters, miraculously rolling saves along the way.

As with the rest of the game Slow = OP. But yeah I learned about the Greater Iron Will the hard way. This was also the fight where I figured out Force Bombs were busted (and got the achievement).

Another one of those fights where the Greater Grease line of spells (the Pits) shine.

Oh fuck it!

I was doing the multi-stage battle to kill the Flower at the Womb, and sure enough after a few reloads and eventual success, the game crashed before I had the chance to save it. Man, this is so frustrating. I hate multi stage battles in general, and I hate them even more every time I get a crash like this.

FUUCK!

I have autosave off, I think. I did save after the 1st half (thankfully!), and the 2nd half is not too bad. But after the 2nd part I was transported somewhere (my full party) and was immediately attacked by several magic beasts and spiders. I will have to redo the two last parts, I guess. At the same time, my tanks' health is depleted and I am out of healing. So the 3rd part was very tough. Maybe I will lower the difficulty. I just beat this ffs, why do I have to do it again!

It doesn't really help you now, but you can manually save between the flower fight in the first realm and the one back in the womb if you're fast enough with f5.

Yeah, I did that save. I didn't save between the 2nd part and the immediate magic beast attack afterwards. Which, due to the condition of my party, was tough as hell.

Get Blindfight and/or Echolocation next time through. I trust you already had Delay Poison, Communal. See Invis also probably helps.

The special spiders are Magical Beasts so don’t have Vermin immunities and are Ekun’s Favored Enemy. Ekun, Okbo, and Jub could clear Ch 2 and 3 by themselves with Anti-Beast Necklace and Devourer.

So, I am finally done with the womb. Now that I am calmer, I can say that the place was quite interesting. Intriguing design with the genitalia metaphor(?- I am still not sure what this means, although the gnome said something about Lamashtu being a Great Mother of some sort), interesting design with the lantern, a good cut-scene, some PST taste in the dialogue with the gnome, some good fights. Too bad about the endless hordes of spiders though, the place didn't need that many spiders.

Pretty good location, all in all.

Desiderius , good call about the See Invisibility. Yes, I had Delay Poison, poison was not a problem. I have got to check Echolocation out. I am not sure about the need for Blindfight, I don't remember being blinded.

I had Ekun with me but not Jubilost.

There are armies of creatures in the game with some form of concealment. Most often it is "Primal" template for 20% for everything fey-world-related, but Womb already has spiders with whopping 50%. Blind Fight is extra roll for miss chance on concealment and technically reduces it by half. AND gives gaze immunity - that is huge in last chapters.

It is so good that I try to fit in in almost every build with a rare exception of feat depraved pure casters. Not as first priority, but around levels 8-15.

Yes, alchemist can outsource Echolocation but casting it on every map is maddening.

You'll want blindfight for later, regardless, as it also gives you protection against gaze attacks.

Edit: old.
