Physical reward: Which is the Best!

Good news, everyone!
We are happy to tell you that the absolute majority of the physical rewards are now received, and the last few ones will be shipped and re-shipped soon with the last delivery wave. A perfect time to suddenly realize if you did not leave us your physical address (or it had changed)! Please update it at your personal account without hesitation and let us know.

We’ve learned some valuable lessons during this campaign, which was the first crowdfunding experience for us. Though there are still some results to analyze and some questions to answer. Today we want to ask you something: tell us, which of the Kickstarter physical rewards from the campaign did you like the most? Just to remind you, here are the items that were included in different tiers: T-shirts and hoodies, cloth map, unpainted miniatures, brass dice set, signed poster, artbook, and the boxed edition of the game.
Feel free to answer in the comment section.

Main thing Blindfight is supposed to do in Womb (more sure after testing with Blind Tristian that Echolocation actually does) is prevent you being flat-footed to the attacks of concealed creatures.

Read somewhere that this part of Blindfight is bugged because it’s range is erroneously set to zero. It has a range since you’re supposed to take Improved if you want this effect against ranged.

So if you want it (for Linzi, say) get Echolocation. Also Okbo can’t get Blindfight at all, but Jub can get him Echolocation.

Tristian gets one cast of Faerie Fire IIRC. Even Druid will run out of casts with all the fights. Glitterdust of course is generally useful for both modes.

whats a kukuri?

A light d4 knife-type weapon... with a wide crit range 18-20. 15-20 with Keen. So very good for triggering extra attacks via Outflank. Might not work so great with Closer to Tabletop, though.

Did you get tired of arguing with all the Kukri fans? It’s ok if you’re bound and determined to dual wield.

She already has a lot of CHR and Bastard Sword prof so he’s just making things hard on himself again.

Finally tried Hard difficulty...

In some CRPGs, higher difficulty increases the number of enemies, or their HP, or the damage they inflict. In Kingmaker, it makes them fucking impossible to hit.

Seriously, the increased AC and Dex of the enemies is a real pain in the ass in the first part of the game. Once I reach higher levels, I guess I'll have access to enough buffs to compensate, but for now, fights usually look like this :

"Hey Amiri ! There's an archer wearing light armor over there ! Why don't you take your big fucking sword, rage, and then murder the shit out of him ?" "No problem, boss, hey did I tell you about the time I killed a white dragon with a wooden fork ?" And then : Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss.

It's fortunate that my PC's an alchemist, and that bombs target touch AC.

That's not it. Unless you go Kinetic, the Keen kukuri is actually probably the best early game tank weapon - deals next to no damage (duh), but crits often (as long as you can confirm...) and triggers Attacks of Opportunity for the rest of the melee crew.

At least till you reach BAB 8 and Improved Crit.

For a few fights its better to equip the Arcane Protector, of course.

First few lvls on Unfair are a minigame that has little to do with P:K. There’s no shame in starting on Challenging and kicking it up when you get bored.

Ok, as long as you’re not spending feats on it. I’m usually just Dazzling with her until Dirge comes in anyway.

so what are good candidates for a dual wield basher main weapon?scimitar?
Scimitar and light shield; later you find blade/arrowguard. Add sneak on top to take full advantage of the extra attacks. I suggest a slayer.

Yeah, Vanguard gets you Uncanny Dodge and infinite use Team buff similar to Freebooter.

Alternatively:

Bashful Buffed Stats.jpg

Bashful Lion's Claw Crit.jpg

This forum reamed me when I couldn't figure out why I couldn't bash with Arrowguard. It's a Buckler. You'll want to be Bashing with what's her name's Shield when the time comes so plan on Large. I like the Perception booster (Bulwark) until then.

So what is the best coronation decision? Should I ally with one of the two factions or act as a mediator?

Just discovered that Mediator opens up a ton of big Trade projects with both sides. And Surtova comes back. Looks like best of both worlds.

Bit late on this comment, sorry, but re. Power Attack type things, for me as a rule of thumb, actually hitting is by far the most important thing in most games, and I prefer to have accuracy or its equivalent a bit over-stacked "natively" (without external buffs) if possible. If you have an insane stack of external buffs and pre-buffs, sure you can take a malus or two, but otherwise it's just not worth it IMHO.

You can get big AB numbers without an insane stack of buffs. Just have to use the things that scale with lvl.

Any ideas on how one would go about building a gnome cleric? I'm preparing to do the standalone DLC dungeon, and want try to something different. Of course it will be on unfair, but don't let that dissuade you, I can still make it work.

In tabletop, PA is very important for getting past damage reduction.

Disagree. There are so many ways to increase your means of hitting, outflank, buffs, etc etc etc. There are so little ways to increase your damage. Power Attack is almost always worth it for a well built martial build, period.
