Still discovering intricacies of trickster:
  1. Buff sense vitals, invisibility of some sort, and haste for running away. I also like reduce person for stealth bonus.
  2. Have a fireball and empowered fireball in spellbook
  3. Have a lvl 3 quicken and lvl 6 maximize rod, Irlene can provide both
  4. Activate maximize rod, cast empowered fireball
  5. As soon as the cast ends press pause, activate quicken rod, cast normal fireball
  6. There are now two fireballs flying towards their recipients
  7. Run away to avoid survivors (in this case trolls with 10% left)
  8. Put on a shit-eating grin for your portrait picture
  9. Repeat up to 6x per rest, depending on character level and rod supply. Damage is 90+12d6+10d6+12d6+ any dmg per elemental die rolled

Also in previous clear of Pitax the ghost in the cellar was the hardest enemy, this time it was the easiest. Simply have Jub spam fast and dispelling bombs, he will keep buffing himself while rest of the party eats at his hit points.

You do not even need Haste for this. Expeditious Retreat on lvl 1 lasts for minutes and gives +30 Speed. I've kited half of chapter 1 with it + Magic Missile while soloing.

any dmg per elemental die rolled
How does this stuff work with spell damage caps? Like if you stack the amulet, robes and bloodline all of which give +1 damage and cast something like Caustic Eruption which has a cap of 20d6 maximum damage. Assuming you are lvl 20 can the damage go beyond 20d6 from dmg per elemental die?

True, with abundant lvl1 slots it's a great bargain; I just forgot about it.

See my reply with screenshot on previous page. It seems to go well beyond 20d6.

You could be using Vulcanic Eruption instead (or Ice Storm, but Ice sucks vs many enemies). For 2d6+12d6 + 3d6+12d6 (plus whatever dice bonuses you have).

Best deal: no saving throw to defend against it!

Yeah, but stealth bonus applying twice kinda feels like a bug? At least with hellfire ray each ray can miss with separate attack roll...
I still have volcanic storm in all lvl 4 slots, fireballs are for lvl3 and 5.

In this case since it's two separate spells, even though it seems to contradict RAW, it feels accurate to how it should work

Is there any acid-specific damage per die item in the game? I know there is for fire, shock and cold, must be one for acid too.

There is ring with +1 Damage per dice for Acid from traveling skeleton merchant from Beyond the Stolen Lands DLC. But his inventory randomize every time you meet him on world map so getting it could take some time. You could probably even get two of them from him, if lucky.

Thanks. But damn...if only there was a complete list for all DLC items. Item lists on the web are all incomplete and outdated. It feels like no one really gives a fuck about kingmaker, its wiki is dead and empty.

Does it? I remember him constantly having the same items available.

I've counted at least 3 different item lists he has available, but items in lists are always the same. What I am not sure about, is whether they are selected at random or depending on current chapter.

You can buy ring in DLC, so may also be available via Gob merchant.

Skele merchant varies inventory within same chapter.

In the last fight of Tenebrous depths, is it possible to dodge/mitigate unholy damage? Or is it all about bursting down the boss before he can do much?
Death ward does nothing. Spreading out helps, I guess... the distance between Jaethal and Ekun on this pic was obviously not enough, but others didn't get hit.

Btw. the fight is a lot harder without Obliteration/Tyrant.
I guess if everything else fails there is always hellfire ray + grandmaster rod.

Do you have a paladin and/or magus in your party? Smite Evil/Arcane Accuracy/Dimensional Strike should allow you to reliably hit the Spawn. Evasion (from Monk or Rogue) can block half of the unholy damage if you have good saves. Otherwise the fight is a simple DPR check. You should also dispel the Spawn's True Seeing at the beginning of the fight and slice him up with Sneak Attacks.

Spawn has pitiful fortitude saves, even on Unfair. See my monk stunning him to death with stunning fists:

Even then, you can spam plague storm and he will die.
