Hit level 12, tried to murder lich in the barrows, still die instantly to Wail of the Banshee, even with all buffs.

Do Clerics not have turn-undead as a natural or selective ability like in Baldur's Gate?

Channel Energy is PF's Turn Undead.

Cheaters never prosper. Play the quest as designed.

Cleric of Asmodeus There is nothing wrong with having good spells. People seem to think it a crime. The real crime is that most CC in Pathfinder allow the victim to end the effect every round. Wizards only have a few tricks per day, DCs are narrowly overcome, then it gets shrugged off in a round. Stinking Cloud is good, but how good gets exaggerated by comparison to other spells got nerf'ed in 3.5E.

Don't use Enchantment so much and you won't have that problem?

Seriously play around with Cloak of Dreams though. You haven't experienced the game fully until you see gentle Tristian do the rage animation before slitting a helpless throat. Its even more rewarding on something big. All that HP for nothing.

Tried it once or twice. Really not a fan of putting half of my own party to sleep for enemies to effortlessly murder.

Is it Compulsion? Could use it within own borders I guess.

So, is this game fully playable yet, meaning can you play it to the end without it turning into a complete bugfest? Also for next gameplay: TB or RtwP?

The trick is to disable him before he casts Wail. I suggest VineTrap. Chains of Light would also work well, but is one spell level higher. Ice Prison might work.
Btw. Blade Barrier does good damage to him. For that reason I tend to bring 2 clerics for this fight (and 1 mage to conjure a pit where the guardians will fall).

Haplo It's not just Enchantment. Illusion spells like Phantasmal Web & Putrefaction both allow will and fortitude saves to end each round. Conjuration is pretty much the only spell school that isn't gimped.

Although, it seems pretty clear you guys don't really dig wizards. My first play run had a team full of high Will classes. Made some things more difficult, but allowed other strategies I enjoyed--like using cloak of dreams. Also if you rush to teleporters, you're also rushing to the project that makes you immune to compulsions on your land. Very powerful.

I have a couple really sweet Falcata that I got before then, not sure where though. A +2 Keen Furious (Decapitator) and a +3 Adamantium. It's raining "Falcata" and "Kukri" on me!

It's actually a nearly flawless experience now. It's the CRPG of our times.

You can switch from turn based to real time at any time, even within combat, so don't sweat it. I vastly prefer turn based since I'm a tactical freak and like to play my party like tolkien's seal team six.

The game is absolute buggy mess, nothing works as it should, dialogues are full of typos, combat music is stuck after every battle - don't play it. Ever.

I do not understand where you guys find all that "free" time within the game. Don't you have advisors to rank up? The only "free" time I get is before HATEOT, when all the advisors are already tier X.

Pitax (Ch5) is very demanding in advisor effort, make sure your advisors are in good shape by then.

I think Wizards in Kingmaker are good fun, especially if you specialize fully in one of the schools, and devise party tactics that work for that school. I am designing an Illusionist Eldritch Knight for my next playthrough, fully specialized in Illusion.

Enchanters are a bit weird. They have very powerful spells, but a lot of opponents are immune to them. Their spells are sweet when they work. though.

I do that in RT. It comes with this pretty awesome feature called Pause. Can also use the V button to advance one frame at a time and Zapruder that shit.

Playing Wrath now on Hard without an Alchemist and a Freebooter and man it’s sometimes hard to hit bosses. Feeling y’all now.

I have changed my party pretty constantly now except for a few key pieces:
Wiz/AT
Alchemist
Bardo

The last two are kind of the backbone of the party but the Wiz is always there just because it's so fun. But I get most of my joy from a round of a quickened sneak attack scorching ray doing 120+ and then a maximized battering blast hitting them for similar damage and also knocking them into a wall and prone. Different strokes for different folks! I favor the making damage numbers higher side of the force than the heightening DCs side, mostly due to brain chemicals I don't understand

But seriously - does anyone else have this error when combat music keeps playing after the combat? Patch 2.1.4, used only RTwP.

On the site for overwhelmed I saw that this bug has been reported to Owlcats, and they are working on that - but may be someone knows a workaround other than save / load.

Play it in turn-based and switch to real-time for trash mobs (in some dungeons there's a lot of them).
