‘’I would have cut a bit of content: the game had too much of it. A lot more than we planned in the beginning,’’ said Oleg. The game had more than 1.2 million words of text, instead of 800 thousand that developers approximated. Oleg did not argue that the game released in less than ideal condition. One of the main reasons for that was that the studio underestimated the amount of content. The game director was also honest about admitting that they did not have any first-hand experience testing these types of games: ‘’You need at least a week to test one branch of the game, and there are hundreds of such branches in there.’’

Some good news: https://owlcatgames.com/forums/show...to-Kingdom-Build&p=35941&viewfull=1#post35941

Changes to kingdom in 1.1, "kingdom manual" incoming
To the OP and everyone else who commented: I understand your concerns about kingdom management, and believe me, we hear you here at the studio. We are currently working on a huge, thorough document that explains a lot of the kingdom mechanics, provides examples and advice, and answers a lot of the questions you guys have.
When it comes to kingdom mangement no one except Jubilost seems to know what they are doing anyway.

Those patch notes imply that Forest Knight's Bracers are actually completeable, has anyone been able to do that yet? That and the Star Metal Gloves are the only Storyteller items I haven't completed.

I was just going to post about that. Bullshit! Blind-Fight doesn't mean you are blind, it just means you could fight while blind, like some Kung Fu master.

Nonsense. After all, if I could fight with my eyes closed, why would I keep them open? Closed eyes = no gaze attacks on me.
:troll:
It is a bit of an overcorrection, but it makes sense that if you know you can fight blind, you'd close your eyes when you fight Medusa or whatever.

No artisan fixes. I wish you could just buy the stuff you want from them. Make them start with the weaker stuff then upgrade their inventory once you've upgraded their shops or something.
I thought that was how the upgrades worked, so I upgraded everything then they stopped bringing me things, except Bokken. :argh:

I also didn't find any mention about loading screen times being optimized except that first loading time when starting the game is now faster. But that one is least important.

I am on phone so can't ctrl+f. Any mention of a shortcut from the throne room to the world map?

Did you manage the Saber tooth armour? If so, how, since according to forums the last piece is inside an unreachable crate.

I made the sabertooth armor, yeah, but it's bugged (no enchantment, so regular Hide Armor AC and no ability to shapeshift).
I never had one in an unreachable chest, but I passed the Athletics check in the Trial of Ice in Armag's, which gets you to an area you might not otherwise be able to access. There is also a piece at Verdant Chambers that I didn't have high enough Perception to find when I went there solo
for the ambush.

New Grease spell is added. Wizards, Maguses and Bards can learn it.
At first, I was like "let's just wait", but then I saw this and started installing the beta
:shredder:
Diplomacy check DC was wrong in the dialog with wererats (the "Ancient Formula" quest). Resolution: fixed.
Damn, I thought it was on purpose

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Has the patch been released? I got nothing on GOG Galaxy...
It's just the beta, I believe. Not sure if it's available on GOG.

Also, looks like I'll be restarting (again) once this patch hits next week.

Being bothered to restart multiple times is always the sign of a good game. ;)
On the other hand, it would help if there was a feat list telling us which ones have been implemented.

Don't you remember how it was with nazis? They are innocent! It's super-psionic Yuri Adolf made them! They were just executing orders!

It's basically the same very popular mindset that absolves responsibility from all but a handful of people.

Minor buggyness with Ranger bear familiar - I picked boon companion at level 5 and the bear went from level 2 to 5, then 6, but has now stayed at 6 as I leveled to 7. It still got all all the level up stats and attributes though...I think.

C'mon Owlcat;- I thought you would have paid special attention to the bears.

There is a special bear-specific weapon in Pitax that is incredibly good.

Animal companions don't level 1:1, though.

If I remember right, didn't it say they gain the large attribute at level 7? 'Cause my bear is level 6 and he just got gigantic. So do you mean they should be a level lower? As I mentioned though it was my level from 5>6, so questionable stuff either way. :?

So, of those who have opted into the beta - any gamebreaking bugs, so far? Anyone's computer melted? Any rifts into dark dimensions?
