You can't call Galfrey until you completed all of the main quest in act 3, not just areelu's lab.
I've been progressing my Archaeologist Trickster again, partly to see what the Trickery mythic is like, and holy shit, ONE application of Trickery 2 (Target) dispelled from the dragon Melazmera in the Colphyr mines:-
Resist all the elements (sequentially)
Haste
Displacement
Heroism, Greater
Bear's Endurance
Owl's Wisdom
Cat's Grace
Barkskin
Shield
See Invisibility
Freedom of Movement
Delay Poison
Heroism
Foresight
Mage Armor
Blur
Bull's Strength
S/he was a pussycat after that. I mean, her Shadow Breath was still deadly but she only manage to get one off.
I don't know enough about the system to know whether I should be amazed by that, but I am

(I should add that's with Trickery itself at +46 from Rank 15 - i.e. with Dex +10 and a whole bunch of other bits and bobs, e.g. Clever Explorer +7, Bracers of Abrupt Onslaught +5 etc.)
I should probably finish this...
I have to find that Hand... Angel... Handgel guy. And then go to ruins and fight Deskari I think. And after that it's the final chapter, right?
How many hours of gameplay is that?
Why would you bother to add a major ability that does nothing and not even test it?
I just don't get it.
What are codex opinions on dlc adventure seems quite low budget, only 2 story companions and one of them is annoying gnome some weird survival mechanics and shit.

It is perfect and more fun than original campaign.
DLCs are focused on either avoiding fights or ending fights in non obvious ways (like pushing stone on enemy etc).

Yea I already pushed stone on my party, I'm more annoyed about gas chamber cemetery I have to micro my every character otherwise they run into toxic clouds, and they never fixed pathfinding if I click on enemy in narrow corridor my melee characters start running around instead attacking enemy and there are a lot of those narrow spaces in dlc.

I thought the DLC was decent... some half-baked ideas, just like the main campaign, but the focus on low level and adding different ways of addressing challenges (or at least trying to) was enjoyable. I made a custom party with a quarterstaff master MC who I'd likely never play in the main game, and had a good enough time for a few hours.
BTW, Desiderius, iirc, the rich quarter is the last big zone in the DLC (not counting a single encounter by the tavern), so you were already almost through.
