The winter DLC does suck pretty bad, but arena DLC has some really fun fights and mage DLC is the best dungeon in both games.
Well, I though the Beast of Winter was pretty flavorful at least. Getting to experience a major event of Eora's history...The winter DLC does suck pretty bad, but arena DLC has some really fun fights and mage DLC is the best dungeon in both games.
Fair point, that's part was cool, but it's just a small side area. Rest of it is boring asf and drags on forever, so I've only played through it once and never bothered walking in again.Well, I though the Beast of Winter was pretty flavorful at least. Quite important for the world building... if you care about such things.
I just replayed Piillows to try to get a save for my last Deadfire run but ran out of gas after the Devil of Caroc quest. Soyer's gamergate-era bugaboos just too hard to slog through and missing too many of the mechanics introduced in Deadfire. Don't know if it was nostalgia or what but very much enjoyed the getting the Keep built up and Caed Nua explored phase. Probably first time playing a Barbarian helped. So I finally bought this game and I have to admit I like it much better than the 1st one for some reason. Not sure why. I only played the 1st one right after it released and gave up after about 12 hours and never played again. I am enjoying this so far. Also it is absolutely beautiful. Josh has made some amazing looking games in his life.
i haven't imported yet but apparently you miss out on dialogue and a few scenes but nothing game changing.i cant bother to finish pillars 1, what i miss from not importing a save?
Is this thing compatible with Community Patch and Enhanced User Interface, because I never play without those?Anyhoo, while we're talking mods, I like this one if someone wants to experiment with different builds but doesn't wanna use hirlings.

I'll have to check as I go. I would expect it to like class ability scaling but it may not.Desiderius Does pet get better stats if you single-class it?

Never cast it. Weird tricks unnecessaryAre there mods that change the Death's Door spell to make it less OP?
I'm right in the middle of developing a new party, not sure I'd call it a theme party thoughSo I'm going to try this again after a few years. Anyone do any theme parties? I beat the game 5 years ago on potd with 5 multi-class Bleak Walkers. I remember curb stomping everything by the end. I was thinking one chanter and 4 goldpacks, 5 specialist mages, maybe a hoard of barbarians, or a group of ranger/druids with pets.
Its very strong in Turn Based mode (Blood Sacrifice is a Free Action).Anyone run a Blood Mage in this game? Was it any fun?
I have been playing around with the idea of a kill team composed of assassins and ciphers (and multi class variants). So I'm going to try this again after a few years. Anyone do any theme parties? Just finished BoW - was pretty good, especially the mini quest with mentioned lore dump, though I don't think I'll ever replay it.The winter DLC does suck pretty bad, but arena DLC has some really fun fights and mage DLC is the best dungeon in both games.
Last I played I had to cooperate with one of the two pirate leader to get it. You might even get the key quest item independantly from the pirates but nothing happens. When I got the ship I was still in Onekaza's good grace as nothing during its hunt forced me to enemy myself with any other factions. I even massacred the pirates afterward. The same for the Floating Hangman: I would like to find and conquer it but I don't want to actually ally with the Pirates. Can I do it? Would that give me exp anyway and maybe a good loot (as I imagine)?
Each DLCs are fairly long and full of fights even if a very few are avoidable. I would say they are 4 to maybe 9 hours each, probably slightly shorter if you rush.2) yeah, that: I want to level up a bit more, because I'm almost going to Ukaizo but I'm still level 17 (almost 18). I know that I can go in Kazuwari or in Harbinger's Watch or start the quest for the mages DLC (it starts AFTER I get an ally, right?). But I do not like enormous dungeons just with fights fights and fights. I would like also something mildly interesting lore-related or with something else. What do you suggest? How long do they take each?
