Cipher getting buffed instead of nerfed for a change? Has Sawyer taken leave of his senses?

Never fear, the focus cost for those Powers went up a quite a bit.

Is this harder or did I just have bad luck with the dice? Started a new playthrough and I got a lot more hurt in the starting dungeon than before. Found out about knockout injuries too...

Sure, I just meant enemies don't get new abilities or resistances. It's just a blind overall stat buff, nothing spicy.

It is but the base stats are too low. It feels like it's supposed to play with PotD stats.

I've been lazily lobbying for another difficulty mode -- Hard mobs but PotD stats. I think that'd be just about perfect, as the mobs do get annoyingly and repetitively big on PotD at times.

Well, you could try Hard mobs with PotD stats already now using a tweak I've posted earlier in this thread.

I just can't stand large PotD mobs anymore, so my preferred difficulty is either Hard with PotD stats, or just Hard with 4 men party (using companions) and delayed level ups.

I was being sarcastic. I do want Ciphers to be as strong as they used to be, but Sawyer had been consistently nerfing the class since launch.

Yay, can't loot bodies after 'all hands on deck' fight.:S Restarting the game, reloading several different saves and fighting the fight again did nothing. I'll just go do some other shit for now and hopefully this glitch'll just go away.

Prime Junta or others, do you have any advice for building a wizard nowadays? Apparently people have been appreciating them once they learn how to play them, but I am not seeing any good builds for a caster wizard in the obsidian forum, and I am a bit wary about going into PoTD without knowing what I should aim for.

I wonder if they made Grimoires give anything or are they just a stupid limitation to spell you can use. Or is the feat that lets you switch grimoire made to be useful now. After release even with that feat it was rarely worth wasting time switching them.

I am glad that they are adding more Deity flavor. I just wish that all the deity powers scaled with reputation in a similar manner as Holy Radiance.

Had the same feeling during my second playthrough at TWM part 1 release. Can't play the game until several months right now and I can't say i'm happy with that.

I'm in the same situation as I've just begun TWM1, but the devs said it should take about 10-15 hours per expansion.
Anyway, I've only arrived at the first village but it's good to see that they included more background checks in the conversations, so far at least. I already found dialogue options specifically for philosophers, nobles, workers, etc., more than in the entire original campaign, almost. And also, more CYOA sections, which were a bit more flesh out as well.
So far, it seems a rather nice expansion, I hope it doesn't turn into an endless combat slog in the Forge, though.

I wonder if they'll take a break for a few years, or will start hammering at PoE 2 right away.

Too bad there's no proper mod support, i'd take it over one of them DLCs.

They've dropped enough hints about Pillars 2 that I'm pretty sure it's right away.

I'd expect an announcement some time after the hubbub over WM2 winds down, but not so long after that people have forgotten about it. And a crowdfunding campaign on Fig.
