Release date in September just like Starfield. Looks great. But why are most of the criminals white? It was the same in the movie but it's a bit odd.

because old movies couldn't predict wokeness and other sick and twisted human creations with the intent of trying to stop them from killing each other and aim their rabies at other races.

There was a brother in the original movie:

Also a corpo:

and a cop...

I guess back in the 80s casting one black guy in every group was pretty much job done as far as affirmative action went.

Mods will fix it. Though looking at the trailer, most of the criminals look fairly organized which runs counter to the standard nigger MO. Maybe there will be roaming packs of pavement apes as random outdoor encounters.

Looks nice, if anything the visuals look better than i expected (the original screenshot/video had Robocop with weird lighting and was kinda lo-fi, so i had low expectations). I think the voice acting needs some editing, it feels a bit flat.

But i like that the trailer is just raw gameplay.

Totally agree about the voice acting,it feels really off,I know it's some random guy and not Weller but still they could do a better job with it

It is actually Weller, but he sounds as if they copy/pasted the audio files into the engine directly after recording the lines.

Also thinking about it, the step sounds robocop does need to be a bit more "thoomp thoomp"-y and also some variations (preferably depending on where you step on) because they'd become annoying after a while (i think it plays the exact same sound in the video).

Weller's voice on the trailer sounds like they might have used some filters or AI thingy to make it sound younger.

Frank Miller pretends like his script for RoboCop 2 was completely mangled so I'm sure he refuses to even acknowledge the third one, which used ideas from said script.

edit: We need a producer's cut of 2 now that Kirshner's dead. He didn't like Nancy Allen so he cut her out of the movie as much as possible even though she was in her physical prime. Was he gay? That sounds like something a gay man would do.

What I love about the second is how much it inspired the C&C intro:

I mean, they even named the leader of their terrorist cult Cain as well.

Keep in mind it's been 30 years since Weller voiced RoboCop in the movies. He's not going to sound the same.

The production values seem like a significant improvement over Terminator. I hope they can keep the gameplay interesting.

Watched some gameplay, looked really generic. Also pretty sure I seen Robocop sprint at one point which seems sacrilegious. I just don't think Robocop lends it's self well too video games. Too many character quirks that simply don't translate like the slow movement.

How many character quirks does it take to look and sound like a badass, and shoot thugs in the dick?

Looks interesting, it’s good that they made the PC play as a lumbering tank. Anything else would be discordant with who Robocop is.

One weird thing is Robocop’s voice. I just watched the first movie again a few months ago, and the VO in the game doesn’t sound right. I hope it’s pre-production and will improve. Not robotic and bass-heavy enough.

When IGN says something is easy you better start planning your rebalance

Playing as Robocop is easy mode by default. Maybe later levels will have enemies with experimental guns that can actually do some damage.

He did say he played it on normal suggesting higher difficulty levels does it not?
Said he hopes there are challenges that weren't revealed in the demo because it's too easy.
