Don't believe his lies
I keep forgetting we have a JPRG subforum, it's like a whole other world over there isn't it?
I did a search and it does look like an Engrish way to say 'Lance'Nah, it's officially Rance these days, although I think it was originally romaji'd to Lance. Rance's various icons and heraldry in the later games often contain a single capital R as the only letter, even in the japanese version.
But have you played it, or are you just parroting? Also the gameplay is actually good
And yet the letters say "Rance". But yeah, fwiw ランス (the series title and protag name in japanese) is also the japanization of 'lance'. They do have a 'native' character for lances though: 銛 (mori), so idk. I'd guess they only use ランス for vidya and manga as part "random english words are cool" aesthetic, but I don't actually know.I did a search and it does look like an Engrish way to say 'Lance'Nah, it's officially Rance these days, although I think it was originally romaji'd to Lance. Hey which part Ash if you do not mind?
I split the list into two parts, one that includes action games with RPG elements and one that doesn't. Dragon's Dogma is in 9th on the other list. You can see it on the extended page. And yeah, no Dagon Dogma on the list feels weird. Game is a mess but people still play it to this day.
Spotted the /vrpg/ dweller>FF8 not number 1
Opinion disregarded.

What did I disagree with in your post? FF7 (original). Game is great, and I would easily place it in the top ten. It's fun, charming, memorable and actually has decent gameplay focus, which is sadly not common enough for RPGs. Those that claim otherwise are lying edgy hipsters. At the time of its release, it was the most ambitious game ever made, with by far the largest budget. There was not, and still is not anything truly like it, except certain other FF games. Aside from its difficulty (mod it) and graphics in a few of instances, it's a stone-cold classic.
That's how edgy codex JRPG bros are, not a single FF game in the top 55, but Shadow Hearts: Covenant in the top ten "pure" list. Yeah, pure cringe you mean. I played and experienced some of the most pitiful hardcore simping, animu tropes galore, annoying characters, sub-par gameplay (though slightly better than the average RPGs I guess), just wholly unimpressed. Koudelka was better, let alone a 90s FF game.
Ummm baste? The protagonist is a magnificent bastard rapist who had a gigachad facial expression before gigachad was even a thing:What's cool about this game? Eroge sounds like a genre for degenerates. To no one's surprise, the Codex's favorite JRPG is eroge classic Sengoku Rance.
Also the gameplay is actually good: https://rpgcodex.net/content.php?id=11269

Look it's Jason Schreier. Objectivity is the only way you can get an accurate measurement of something. Why even have scores if you don't care about objectivity.said every pleb noob everFuck objectivity
Objectivity has no place in opinion polls. It totally defeats the purpose of the poll in the first place.
"Vote for your fave games...but you must consider how everyone else views them in the process". It's bollocks.
No I frequently regularly, and your dumbass post doesn't make sense. People can play a bunch of games in a genre and take a break from that subforum from awhile. It was in the JRPG forum for at least a month and constantly bumped up to the top of the list. The fact that you didn't know about it means you don't visit that forum and thus should not have been voting in the poll.Nobody knew about or voted in the poll.
Yeah, how are Dragon's Dogma and Souls games action games and not other Secret of Mana type games? Keep running from the argument faggot.I split the list into two parts, one that includes action games with RPG elements and one that doesn't. Dragon's Dogma is in 9th on the other list.
