I mean what you are supposed to call it ? They are not painting few textures over some planets surface at some elevation and they are not creating fog 5m from player cockpit to fake gas clouds.

"THOSE KIDS AND THEIR (looks at computer screen).... ICONS !"

Good episode this week. Those ship systems are looking :incline:

There are ton of neat things in that video:

- power controling gravity, lights
- individual things being replaceable like lights, fuses.
- improved EVA to gravity transition
- wedge kit on doors that were shut down
- door customization like switching off proximity.

Weird thing was their last part about homes assets. They talk about it like some sort of early concept just plopped 3D assets non textured garbage but i look at it and it looks pretty good.

It will be great stuff when it comes in 2032

So unnanounced with patch notes for 3.11 they will be adding new train stop to New Babbage with ship expo. This will be coupled with free fly week which i guess is great way to check how broken game is for normies.

Cool tidbit from the monthly report - ship-to-ship and ship-to-station docking are nearing completion
Continuing with last month’s Merlin/Constellation work, UI to aid docking was completed. Various issues relating to persistence were also resolved, enabling the Merlin and Constellation to spawn as a pair. The team are now working through the more minor tasks in a push to call the feature “finished.”

---

The team also began final art on the ship-to-station docking lobby and exterior.
The work on spawning the Merlin and Constellation together should also get them closer to spawning other big ships along with parasite craft, like spawning a Carrack with a rover in the bay.

I think we need to update the FAQ in the opening post:

What is Star Citizen?
A scam.

Will Star Citizen be single-player, multiplayer, or a massively multiplayer online game?
No.

How much does it cost?
How much money do you have?

What are the system requirements?
A fervid imagination.

When will Star Citizen be released?
No.

How does ship insurance work, and what is LTI?
We are figuring it out, meanwhile give us money.

How will the game world be structured?
Who cares, give us money for fuck's sake.

Is there PvP (player versus player) combat? How does it work?
NO.

Will there be "guilds"?
Whatever makes you give us more money.

Will there be "gathering" and "crafting"?
Yes, gathering of YOUR MONEY and crafting of castles of coke.

Will there be "player housing"?
Sure. Will you give us money, now?

They will be adding refinery game-play next patch. Basically you take your raw mined ore to one of refinery stations and refine it into next for example raw copper into copper. You pick amount you want process pay up cost and then based on amount, refinery and resource it will take some time to do that from minutes to hours.

The gameplay imho here is that each refinery has its own specializations and will have different cost, moreover they will have capacity so if refinery is highly occupied cost to refine will be higher. So you will have to ship your raw ore in order to refine it for maximum profit.

Seems like mining is their go to for hold standard.

Roadmap Roundup
Happy Friday, everyone!

Each and every week, we accompany the Roadmap update with a brief explanatory note to give you insight into the decision-making that led to any changes. This is part of an effort to make our communications more transparent, more specific, and more insightful for all of you who help to make Star Citizen and Squadron 42 possible.

With that said, let’s go ahead and dive into this week’s Roadmap Roundup!

-CIG Community Team

Notable Changes for November 13th, 2020
Stanton System Planetary Improvements
This card is a new addition that has been added to the Alpha 3.12 column. | As part of this update we are investing in a more detailed global painting pass with consideration to global climate data. We are also refining how object presets are set up, to get a more natural and believable read, as well as introducing some new assets to the biome packs. Finally, we will be updating the remaining geology assets to the organic shader to utilize the latest features. We are looking to showcase the above improvements for this release on the planets Hurston & microTech, as well as on the moons Yela, Cellin, Daymar, Wala and Lyria.

Reputation V1 – Reputation/Org Service
This card is a new addition that has been added to the Alpha 3.12 column. | This system will introduce the first iteration of persistent reputation between all entities within the Star Citizen universe, as well as persistent NPC Organizations.

We are creating the foundation for persistent reputation between all entities within the Star Citizen universe as well as persistent NPC Organizations. With this set of tasks, all key mission givers (outside of Ruto for now due to current technical constraints), will have the ability to change their responses due to the player’s mission performance. This is not only applicable to a general “positive” or “negative” greeting or farewell, but has also been extended to varying degrees of “mission completion” streaks.

This means that if the player completes or fails multiple missions in a row, the mission givers will comment accordingly. If the player fails the mission giver’s missions enough, this can even result in their temporary refusal to offer you additional missions for a period of time.

Additionally, mission threads that have varying degrees of difficulty have been converted over to use the new system to unlock the next tier of missions. Finally, because this is now service driven, all of this reputation is persistent and can be preserved between releases.

Seems like they slowly add things to 3.12. At start 3.12 was like 1/4 of current lineup. Moreover those things are pretty sure 100% to get into next patch as they are things they effectively are close to finishing up instead of being predictions like before. Seems like they changed with 3.12 how they report future updates.
