For some fucking reason i logged today just to watch those ships in expo hall. I must say for graphics whore like me it did things. Pretty much best looking game right now.

CIG outdid themselves with this expo. The amount of environmental details to make it look like a real convention is great.

On another note, performance is utter dogshit for me in this patch. Maybe the game has become more demanding since last time I played. Granted my PC is getting pretty old at this point, but I was getting solid performance around the 3.4 - 3.7 patches.

Edit: this was all on my PC. My CPU was burning up - replaced the cooler and now I am getting as good or better performance than ever. Still not 'good', but averaging around 30fps with no stuttering. In Star Citizen terms that's not awful. Weird thing about this game is that I get similar performance on Very High and Low settings. Most likely my CPU is still the bottleneck. Also played several hours today and did not see any crashes. Delivery missions still seem to be unplayably bugged.

Nope new roadmap is coming "soon" and it won't be actually an roadmap but what devs are working ATM in sprints. Meaning there won't be glowing "release date planned QX20XX" there.

Aside from that they are STILL planning add new things that were not there just few months ago. For example components. Sometimes a year ago they figured out that they need to do revision to all ships in game and place components on those ships. There are currently designing that system. So the idea here is that people will be able to break in into your ship and steal those components, or when you salvage and look through wreck you will be able to take those components out and sell them. Aside from that each ship will have wiring connecting to those components that can be damaged and people will be able to reroute power etc in case of failures giving engineer something to do, fix components in combat, replace them etc.

As per usual great idea but further delays.

Yeah, it is not just a matter of loadtimes. Star Citizen is the worst example that I know of, but that game is virtually unplayable if installed on a HDD.

I still use HDDs for bulk storage because they are dirt cheap. But for OS and games, SSD is a must.
