I don't remember what happened in Hokkaido. Somebody saw, but there was no alarm and sense of danger. After that I was pissed so I went with less subtle approach. 95 % isn't bad overall. This time it was mostly ghosting and ocassional interrogations for door codes. I recommend to play on maximum difficulty, spices things up.

I absolutely loved the co-op missions in Chaos Theory back when it came out. How does Chaos Theory hold up today?

It's the best part of the series, and it will stay that way. Ghosting is really fun, because whenever you leave some doors open, lights switched off guard will immediately turn on light alert and starts poking around. It's not so hard on first mission, but later on when you have little space to maneuver you need to plan your moves to execute a perfect run without alerting anyone. Obviously for me it didn't work, especially in bath house, I really hate that mission. The secondary objectives are nice for a completionist and maximum rating. AI never surprised me with doing something stupid. The mercs need only 1,2 shots to kill you so many times you'll be holding breath when you approach on new location. Chaos Theory is holding up good, it's demanding, and DE:Human Revolution which I play now is way too easy.

1954: Alcatraz, Daedalic's new adventure game (German-only at the moment)
Funny, I almost bought this the other day. The setting looked pretty cool.
But I couldn't believe Daedalic released another Adventure already. They seem to be pumping out games like crazy.
Didn't pick it up because I get the feeling the quality suffers for it, Night of the Rabbit didn't hold my attention very long.

So how is it?

So how is it?

Charming enough (awful and kinda jarring 3D character models aside), but pretty mediocre puzzle-wise so far. I'm not very far in yet, though, so it might improve.

Not all Daedalic games are actually made by them; the Deponia and Memoria series were developed in-house, I believe, but Alcatraz wasn't. Incidentally, those two series are Daedalic's best, imo. Though I did enjoy Night of the Rabbit too, if mostly for its atmosphere.

Really? I knew they act as publisher too, but their website lists "Daedalic Entertainment" as developer for games like Alcatraz. Or are you talking about something else?

Anyway, thanks for these impressions. :salute:

I waste my time mostly on Warcaft 3 - Reign of Chaos (2nd playthrough).
Human campaign was even more boring than I remembered, fortunately, the game picks up a little during the Undead campaign. Of course, missions are either too easy (enemies not aggressive enough) or unfair (all enemies coordinating their attacks). Plus, I always try to keep low upkeep (below 71 units), which bit me in the ass in the final mission (all fuckers storm your base during final minute):

:rage:

Fortunately, I was able to survive with 5 seconds on the clock an whatshisname unded knight healing the whatshisname undead negromancer for the last time, so fucker survived the rape.
Now - Ukranians:

When I need a break from the excellence that is W3, I switch to Rayman Origins:

Not as good as everyone claimed it to be (gameplay is p. basic so far - jumpan and kickan only), but decent. Plus, graphics are great (for a flash game):

I also decided to check out what all the fuss about KeeperFX was. Sadly, it was enough that I launched the 1st mission...

DK2 can go fuck itself, even worse sequel than Half-Life 2.

Getting detected at all will drop your score. IMO, the hardest missions to 100% were Seoul and the Bathhouse. Both have parts where you basically got a 50/50 chance or worse of getting spotted and instantly killed. Bathhouse puts you into the tactical version of a phonebooth with a buncha bad guys and asks you to miraculously ghost out of there.

Yeah, I just finished it the other day and agree completely - a bit of a letdown based on what I'd read about it. (You'll get some more powers as you progress, BTW.) It's definitely looks great, though:

Rayman Origins would have been excellent if the last (steampunk) world wasn't so fucking rage inducing. Even the land of the livid dead wasn't as fucking frustrating as that one.

Rayman Origins just felt... lacking somehow to me. However Rayman Legends felt much better in terms of content.
