I managed to beat the katana general in the big stairs of the castle.First I killed his 4 sniper lackies with shurikens. Not gonna lie, I cheesed the fuck of roofs, grappling to them to heal and attack from the air. The fucker has troubles sometimes with the air attacks from above, and even if they don't connect at least he is not 2 shotting you on the floor or killing your posture bar with his combos.

Wanna be cheap Miyazaki San? Bring it on!

The problem is gonna win the lady's fight second stage without cheesing. :negative:
What's the problem with the second stage?

Quick question: I remember in some promo videos (months ago) that when someone kills you and you wait a bit until he goes back to reposition himself you can resurrect and stealth backstab him. Has anyone managed to do it? Even if an enemy is meters away after slaying me, has his back turned on me, when I resurrect he immediately turns around and starts attacking me.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Ogre is easy, set him on fire and let loose. The only dangerous attack is the almost instant grab if you're too close to him.

Took an afternoon break, then beat the Lady AND the purple ninja first try.

Sekiro top strats - take a break.

Update: Beat the second purple ninja, the one with 2 HP dots. First try. Without the plunging attack. I'm on a roll. :smug:
(protip - the step dodge attack is super effective against him).

I was trolled. I still couldnt beat the lady and wanted more paperguys, so I farmed two points and invested in the skill just to get one more fucking paperdoll. I still cant beat her.

Do you have the Shuriken upgrade that lets you close the gap really easily?
Or the gap closer combat art? It's really good against her for interrupts + gap close after dodges
Use sap seed in 2nd stage to instantly nuke every illusion in an AoE around you.

my main problem are the small butterflies she summons when fighting (not the illusion ones) since I cant block them, so I take damage even if she doesnt hit me, if I evade I cant hit her because she also evades.

As someone already said, stay aggressive. Stay close to her, 3 hits, dodge step, let her hit the air, you hit again. Her health will slowly drop. Her blades can be blocked, her aerial grab avoided by dodge step. Basically dodge step is your friend, both for the Lady and the purple ninjas. In her second phase ignore the apparitions, they'll disappear soon and change into a homing soulmass barrage which can be easily avoided by standing behind a pillar.

Well shit I didn't really have any problem with the butterflies. I just either dodged or ran sideways/sometimes forward in "S" shape and then used gap close. IIRC if you stay close to her she'll avoid using the butterflies, so really just stay aggressive. Attack until she deflects and once you notice the deflect immediately prepare to deflect her incoming kick attack. It's more of a tutorial boss than anything.

Btw to remove the disgusting washed out, greyish tinge and make the game a milion times better experience, especially in the dark areas which cannot be lighted by a torch this time around, use this:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m6ZfaqrmXU-YXXcy6H7tTWYwoZC-D_y5/view

Unzip directly into the main game directory, start the game and it should be automatically enabled. If not, in-game press Home and switch on/off the filter with End. You're welcome.

Has anyone beaten the guy in the Ashihana dojo? How?

Also where to go, forgotten ruins or serpent shrine?

Tried and game doesn't run. Have to reinstall the game because integrity verification doesn't change anything.

No From. You didn't create a very tough boss that needs TWO rare consumables - TWO OF EACH - to beat so after 3 failed attempts you're out of luck and you'll NEVER beat this boss. I refuse to believe it.

Wow the horseman was an excellent boss.

Not a single boss was bad. The one "gimmicky" boss was the best the game gave me so far. Absolutely unforgettable. So glad I didn't let various toobers to spoil it for me.

Nah...

Vordt Bull is absolutely bullshit.

Bullshit arena
Bullshit hitboxes
Bullshit camera
Bullshit particle effects make me unable to see what's going on
Bullshit moveset
I can't even resurrect because the damn thing keeps attacking me while I'm dead.

But I believe you and I hope the next ones will be much better, like the Horseman was.

Has anyone managed to reach that shit yet? I can grapple onto the root and propel forward but can never hold onto the ledge.

It sounds like the game is more bosses-centric than Soulsborne. Don't know if I'd like that. I get too stressed with bosses and need the stroll of levels to relax.

On the other hand, combat sounds more "technical" in a way, with distinct techniques prone for different situations that the player must assess correctly. Makes sense?
