It's a misconception about the place , there's people who play games, some expert at it ,you can easily identify them in threads , most of them like a good presentation ,to them graphics doesnt matter much . Very few amongst codexers really dont care of graphics at all ,thats less than ten people on the codex.

Then you have people who absolutely dont care about games and are here cause they have horrible lives on pretty much every aspects , so the lack of moderation allow them to vent their frustrations , favorites topics are politics , women , trannies ,trump , the jews . Their motto is everything is shit , games are shit , graphics are shit, super important for them. Of course they cant afford any , nor even pirate as their rigs cant run them .That's their only way left to exist, posting.

Exactly what you would expect from each level of difficulty: if you choose to be a pussy, you get pussy difficulty - if you choose to have it spicy, you get spicy.

Seriously though, it's a fun game. I played it for like 6 hours a while ago in early access. enough to know it was my kind of game and I should wait for them to work out kinks. Am really looking forward to full release on the 27th.

Yep. For experiments. Glantri approves the use of manlet races to increase our understanding of arcane magic. But if you plan to use dwarf slaves, be sure to proper castrate him first, we don't wanna more manlets.

Damn, game's looking mighty fine. Think I'll hold up for a couple of months until it's all patched and whatnot, but really looking forward to play it. Hope it'll be optimized enough for my laptop to run it by then.

Okay man I love Mystara too but you don't have to reference it aaaaalll the time. Just most of the time.

Glantri Is the best example of how to deal with manlets on D&D. But we also have the guys who reanimated dwarfs on arcanum to make then mass produce stuff. Which is a great solution. We can kill then and reanimate/enslave then, thanks to necromancy. And after reanimated, you will never need to waste food/water with then again. That seems the best way to deal with the dwarf question. Without necromancy, we would have to decide between killing or enslaving then.

I was thinking more in the lines of codexers who frequent (and play) the stuff in the obscure rpgs thread. tbh, given the context and limitations of the systems, I don't consider GB games to be ugly. On the contrary, they're quite charming, and if we look at the Amiga ports there's even some pretty kickass monster portraits and whatnot.

About goldbox games, it's not the graphics but mainly the UI that prevents most people from enjoying them.
