Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Kalameet shouldn't be too impossible IF you're not trying to cut his tail for the sword. Then it's a fucking nightmare. Anyway it's the best designed boss of DS1.

I can't beat kalameet by myself. I don't want to do all that rolling faggotry but if I go in as a tank, I still end up dying by the time I get the boss to half health.

I had a lot of trouble with him as well. The way I beat him was staying at distance baiting him into doing his flying move towards you then getting behind him and hitting is tail a bunch before he can recover. Will take some time though, but at least you won't die from the camera angle screwing with you as he stomps on you.

A noob question - after i killed Gargoyles, do i get to lower burg to the Capra daemon, or somewhere else?

I swear Capra got me once again but I got him the 2nd time. I will beat this NG++ and start a new character, I'll just skip over everything optional.

If you opt to skip Capra Demon and the Gaping Dragon and enter Blighttown via the Valley of Drakes, is it possible to backtrack all the way to Carpa Demon? Or do you get stuck behind one of two doors on your way there like the door next to the guy selling boss armor who later moves to Firelink, or the one leading out of the Depths towards opposite to the shortcut past Capra leading back to Firelink?

Grab the Codex by the pussy
I think the door after the Gaping Dragon requires you to beat the boss first and to be opened from the Depths' side. Has anyone bothered to try beating Gaping and then go all the way to the other side via the Valley just to open the gate from Blightown's side?

Capra demon was pure rape, i had to get collect some gear, xp and spells (pure caster, as usual) to beat it (well, and i somehow managed to one shot both dogs with one catalyst thrust which helped me focus on boss instead of cursing dogs that block roll pathways). What actually surprised me was the fact that i easily (and consider it's a man who wiped 3 hrs on this stupid goat before that) killed the Moonlight butterfly. Maybe it was the 'easy caster boss', i dont know, i think i did more damage by hitting it in the face with the stick rather than spamming weak soul bolt or whatever it's called. Tried Hydra afterwards, but it's too tedious (or dangerous, if it's 'kill golems doom II way') to get to it and then try it. I guess it's purely optional, right?

The level design is still quite impressive in dark souls. I completely skipped the depths and just went straight to fighting Quelagg. I'm now in Anor Londo again, god I hate all the stupid falls and shit.it's no annoying. I also don't like Sens fortress, it isn't fun at all.

The idea might be that if a boss is clearly using magic to hurt you, you probably should expect he/she/it has magic resistance. (I think.)

There's a really cheap way to kill Ceaseless Discharge, I'll let you figure it out yourself.

Actually finished the game yesterday after laying it aside for a year. Only had Four Kings and Gwyn to defeat, anyway.

Damn, what a beautiful final area and a boss.

First time I killed him was non-cheap way but I was using the Black Iron set which has good fire resist. I simply fought him in that alcove where you pick up the armor set and dodges his tentacle as best I could. Dodge, hit, dodge, hit. Not sure what his magic resist is at but against him and Sif homing soul mass (or the crystal version) is probably your best bet since you aren't going to have much time to cast. In general, a Sorc build is among the easiest assuming you also boost pyromancy to compensate for magic resistant bosses.

So I beat sif and ceaseless discharge now stray demon is giving me problems. My health is so fucking low and I don't want to deal with shitty Sen fortress

? Sen's Fortress is easier than all of that. Not sure why you'd have low health unless you're doing SL1 or some wacky constrained build. Even as a caster you should still put some points into vitality.

Derp. I would have cranked it to at least 15 or so. What you really don't need as a caster is endurance/stamina. Presumably you're using some lightweight one hander with magic enchant as a melee weapon.

Beat the stray demon, circle strafing was the strategy. Went to Sens fortress and beat all the prowling Demon's for their Titanite. Now trying to farm for the drake sword.

You want Velka's Rapier. Before that even a normal Rapier +5 magic enchant is better than Drake sword.

Cleared Sens fortress in one go and I'm now in Anor Londo. I'm not going to level up too much, I'll be focusing on getting new spells.
I'm using a +10 spear but I still got the drake sword.

Is multiplayer on PC disabled for good? This is terrible.

No one know right now. Could be problems on their end simply. for Deamon's Souls they publicly announced that they will be shutting down servers months before and they extended that time few times due to fan demand.
