That's awesome, I should play through it again. Does the 60fps hack affect PvP?

Huh, I booted up DS1 and despite the steam hub saying 4k players I was unable to see anything (messages, bloodstains, etc.)

I wonder if the dsfix got me banned?

Go to the options menu while in game and enable 'steam leaderboards' (weird name for online functionality) if it is disabled

If you're having problems gathering nodes (i.e. can't engage in online activity), there's Wulf's Connectivity Mod. It got a bunch of updates recently, including the so-called "DSCM-net", which allows gathering nodes much faster than through the game. Be sure to get the latest testing release for that feature: http://wulf2k.ca/PC/DaS/DSCM.html

It's also compatible with the PvP Watchdog.

Weird thing happened. I invaded as a blue invader but the game turned me into a darkwraith once the invasion commenced.

Someone tell Ormagöden to stop being a cheap ass and buy this game for $5.
why 5? I got it for 20 euros but I have to tell you I haven't had so much fun in a game since...well Underrail :). I think it's the only game that I like that is not isometric. I regret I didn't pick this one sooner.
How can you argue with this testimony, Ormagöden ?

Also, it's $5 on sale now at Humble's website.

Still enjoying DS3 but decided to play some DS1 on my Laptop (which runs the game surprisingly well) and damn I just wanted to try a sorcerer build for a bit and stayed playing almost 6 hours up to
I like DS3 very much but the original is still number one, it just feels like... Home

Hey men, how do I online nowadays? I loaded up an old SL 64 save in Anor Londo and PvP watchdog showed 0 nodes all the time, should I get to 120 SL meta or something? Personally, SL70 was always my favourite PvP segment of DS 1

EDIT: Figured it out nvm

I hate bot king. I invaded someone that he invaded and I thought he was a real person. instead of us ganking the person, he turns and kills me then kills the person. He's highly susceptible to magic though

He finally got it working, just doesn't have a controller. First thing he does? Attacks Petrus.

What i love most about DS1 is movement system. It really feels good and it is rich in animations that don't feel clunky at the same time.

I recently did 2 runs of DS1 and DS2 to compare it with DS3 and holy hell DS2 movement system compared to DS1 and DS3 feels like garbage. DS1 on other hand still holds up a lot.

Work they put into animation and responsiveness is pure quality.

Started playing this again, what a great game.

I'm rolling cleric and using miracles for the first time in any Souls game. Plan is as follows:

1. Grab Astora's Straight Sword in Valley of the Drakes using the master key.
2. Go down to Tomb of the Giants first, rescue Rhea (?) to get Wrath of Gods etc. Grab large divine ember while I'm at it.
3. Grab Divine ember in Darkroot Garden. Switch to an ascended divine weapon (claymore, probably)
4. Go to Anor Londo, get either Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon Blade buff. Switch to falchion. I'm told fast weapon + DMB buff is ez mode.
5. Rest doesn't matter.

So far I've beaten Pinwheel and gotten extraordinarily lucky: one of the necromancers dropped a skull lantern. So I'll actually be able to see what I'm doing in the Tomb. Astora's Straight Sword allowed me to progress through the catacombs at my own pace, since the skellies couldn't get revived by the necromancers. I also found out (or couldn't remember) that Patches betrays you not just in the Tomb but in the Catacombs as well by rotating the bridge. Unlike DS3, however, you can avoid the trap by doubling back before it's too late. "All's well that ends well" as Patches would say.

I've missed you, poise.

EDIT: getting out of the Tomb is going to be a bitch.
