1) no mods currently 'correct' the bug eyes, there's one that makes the lighting of certain scenes less dead, which does help a little bit

2) there are a bunch of really good mods that are definitely worth installing

Well, i guess it's be what it'd be. I doubt i'll play those games more than once anyway so i can just finish them and then erase the thing. For less then two euros each it's not that bad.

From what i remember, first one ought to be more in line with KOTOR gen Bioware, second is more collar grabbing, push a button/awesome oriented while the third one managed to even piss off normies so i suspect i'll likely won't make it far.

First one is clunky and flawed but full of charm, great atmosphere and a killer soundtrack.
The second one is simpler in structure but definitely more polished gameplay-wise. The plot is what it is but some of the battles are truly fun and engaging, and memorable. I confess to loving ME2.
Third one was hated because of the ending. There are mods that basically re-did the ending from scratch, I haven't tried them yet but some swear by them.

Path of Exile 2 going free after EA? What makes you say that? It's got such a low price that it makes me think they want to mass-sell the game at 10EUR on every possible Steam sale. Maybe it could go free in a few years but going straight to free after early access sounds far fetched to me.

It will be free to play like PoE1. The early access price gives you exilebucks that you can use to buy stash space, cosmetics etc (well it gives that and early access).

The one that piss me off is Grim Dawn. I saw the historically low price and figured now it's the time, but nope, still 25 euros for the whole pack, same as every other sale.

Just got a couple of extra goodies, Blood and Strife (i saw those have steam achievements so i assume Nightdive did something to them i don't even know lol) plus all the older Postal games from some keyshop.

Rogue Trader + Season Pass (I played 40k when I was a lad, although I expect Owlcat will fuck this one up too)

TMNT: Splinted Fate (sounds like something my kids will enjoy)

Palworld (just to fuck with Nintendo, no idea if I'll actually enjoy equipping Pokémon with motars or whatnot)

Not sure what that says about modern games. The types of games I play the most (RPGs and grand strategy) seem to be mostly garbage these days (AoW4, conquest of Eo, total warhammer III, Cyberpunk, Veilguard, etc). The once-great RPG industry has been reduced to two companies, one made up of a dozen Frenchman and the other an army of Flemmish faggots.

Got Batman: Arkham Asylum and Blasphemous, also gifted D:OS2 to a buddy of a mine.

I also got Arkham City from the previous sale, so now I've got the whole Arkham Collection in my Steam acc. Including Origins. I've played all of them before but they are fun to playthrough and it'd be fun to collect some of the achievements. That and I'd also get to hear the colossal performances that Kevin Conroy delivers for all 3 of the original Arkham Games. These games are some of the last projects he works on as the voice of Batman and of course Mark Hamill is there to back him up.

Played the Blasphemous demo and it fit me like a glove. The music was great, the gameplay was great, the art was superb and I'd imagine if the game had a smell I'd like that too. The Game Kitchen is also developing The Stone of Madness which is on my wishlist and is yet to be released. So I'd say the projects these guys are pumping out have caught my interest.

I've got 4eur left in my account and am eyeing up Grim Fandango but might end up adding one more eur and buying Curse of the Dead Gods instead. I'm all ears for better 4eur suggestions.

Both 1 and 2 will continue to be get content (though 1 likely at a slower pace) and microtransactions are shared between them when possible, but they'll be different and 2 won't replace 1 like Overwatch.

At least wait for the third and final expansion pack.

Also, GOG is no better. They have a 'Definitive Edition' of Grim Dawn, but it doesn't include any of the Loyalist Item Packs, so it isn't much "definitive".

I bought Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, Silent Hill 2 remake, Stalker 2, Ready or Not DLC. It's kind of more fun buying games and see how they run on your new beefy computer compared to actually playing them lol. Might get Ghost of Tsushima before the sales ends but I'm not sure if I would ever get around to play that one.

Nothing LGBT so far but yeah, the main protag is a dindu with a retarded Killmonger side shave. But there's a simple solution - there are different skins you have available from the get go and some of them change him completely. I switched to the Wanderer skin immediately and it's perfect. (Also it's a metroidvania, not Witcher 3, the protag doesn't matter that much).

Came across this, the art style is beautiful and, thankfully, it doesn't seem to be a JRPG. It looks like some kind of stealth isometric RPG with city building elements. Definitely keeping an eye on this, the art style alone is enough to keep me interested.
