PL voice overs for Witcher 1 struck me as too theatrical, made me cringe on regular basis. Witcher 2 was a bit better, but it still irked me the wrong way.

I still adore "Przegięła pałę goryczy" line although I hate the actor.

Naaah, it was much better than most Polish VOs in that aspect. I'd even say, a lot of it was actually well delivered (if you're not expecting Al Pacino quality).

If Sapkowski is clever, he should start a new serie with Ciri as a protagonist with just vague references to Geralt. What's "in-between" can be covered by games (with Geralt or other fresh character)...

Being on the top and rich and full of booze, Sapkowski signs 20 million$ contract for the next-next-next gen trilogy about Ciri in time/space/underwater/reptilianoverlords universe and then he dies (obviously without fulfilling the obligations). :mhd::troll:
Wow, just imagine this getting made and CDPR getting hands on the license. Their writing style and Ciri, a 16-yo lesbian swordmaster sorceress with dimensional travel ability. She could become the ultimate Mary Sue of gaming.
EDIT: SORRY SHE IS BISEXUAL NOT LESBIAN, MY BAD!

Bro, I would never call Sapkowski's writing subtle, but compared to CDPR it is like a touch of a velvet handkerchief compared to a slap in the face with a wet towel. If they got to work with material like Ciri, Revan and the entire SW EU would not be worthy to clean her stilletto-heeled shoes.

Ciri and her antics were returded from the very beginning. I don't think they could make her character dumber than Sapkowski did.

This presentation is just for the press, behind closed doors.
CDPR are saying they will have a lot of material for the fans, but are not revealing what it might be.

I think I am actually going to preorder this shit.

I know preordering is stupid, I gain nothing, or next-to-nothing from it, etc., but The Witcher was the first or the second fantasy series I have read in my life (I honestly do not remember if I read LoTR first), and I have been a fanboy ever since. So it is only fitting to preorder, even if I consider both games so far merely decent.

Preordered. We all know it's gonna be decent at least, which is enough for mainstream AAA games I sometimes feel urge to play. (I'm one of those faggots who gets shivers and really excited when some bad-ass cutscene/scripted epic event kicks in and I'm expected to kill all the fuckers horribly while epic music plays in the backround... I'm not ashamed... much...)
