Aloy, Ciri and that thing from the Intergalactic trailer.omg ALOY and CIRI should TEAM UP!!! that would be ebin!
this.
Why the hell would she go through the trials when she already has cosmic level powers of wrapping space and time. lmao
Here my child. Let me mutilate you, make you infertile and give you job where people will spat on you and hate you.
YOU DESERVE IT.
(...) In other words that trailer was 100% nothing burger. IT is exact same thing as this.
herold is part of patriarchy so he playing on ez mode. It's practically the same story except the ending is more grimdark, Ciri couldn't save the girl whereas Geralt could.
And that is with being confirmed that GODS LITERALLY EXIST IN THE SETTING, with Nivelen or whatever was the guy's name being cursed by a priestess of Lion-Headed-Spider and guy in other story opening a portal. There are so many things wrong with that trailer.
- A peasant trying to grab a witcher by the shoulder like if was nothing when witchers are supposed to be feared by the commonfolk like freaks.
- Ciri acting like an asshole for no reason whatsoever when she was raised by Geralt to be mostly easy going.
- Her design is now bulkier and heavy, when her fighting style is supposed to be flexible and lithe.
- DRINKING a potion AFTER combat starts instead of BEFORE.
- Telling the girl she is supposed to save to fuck off instead of reassuring her.
- Defeating a monster twice as big as her with BRUTE force instead of wit or luck. Not even Geralt could do that.
- The worst part is the ending. In an attempt to "subvert expectations" they show the girl she was trying to safe gets killed by the peasants instead of the monster. But only shows Ciri as incompetent.
If she wanted to save the girl, why didn't she take measures for that instead of telling her to fuck off? In contrast Geralt successfully saved a girl of being hanged and killed a demon without causalities in similar situations. And that line about Gods not existing? Shit's looking bad.
But you identify with Geralt, a widely despised monster killer?I don't play RPGs with female main characters anyway, can't identify with em
The trailer is pre-rendered in a custom build of Unreal Engine 5 on an unannounced NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU. Powered by the same tech that The Witcher IV is built on, using assets and models from the game itself, it aims to provide players with a cinematic look at the kind of experience the game is aspiring to provide. The trailer was created through a close collaboration between CD PROJEKT RED and Platige Image, who are no strangers to The Witcher universe, having been responsible for intro cinematics in the previous installments of the series.

I am not sure what the fuck a girl boss is, but Ciri has always been an overpowered mary sue OC do not steal from day one. When did Ciri turn into a girl boss? Did CDPR consult Naughty Dog?
Most of the games in Poland are being made in cities where people from Eastern Territories (Kresy) brainwashed by Soviet propaganda were resettled, so the anti-Church sentiment is very strong there. People in general don't really care about the Church or Catholicism for many years now, despite what some Westerners might think, but the weird, deep hatred and seething is mostly unique to those forementioned areas. But you identify with Geralt, a widely despised monster killer?I don't play RPGs with female main characters anyway, can't identify with em
Anyway, a Polish game being anti-religious is not necessarily woke. I remember during my college days, back in the 2000s, Polish Erasmus students (especially girls) were all super anti-Catholic, on the account of how powerful and corrupt the church was in their country. It gets tiring fast but I believe it is something they genuinely feel strongly about. I still have hope that, unlike Bioware games, Witcher 4 will try to tell a story that makes sense within its universe and not use the pseudo-medieval aesthetics as a background for characters arguing (or rather making banal declarations of faith) on issues that zoomers from California tend to obsess over.
Not too much tbh but at least I don't have to flirt/sleep with men with male player characters in RPGs.But you identify with Geralt, a widely despised monster killer?
