Did they clean up the California part of the game in the DC? I remember it was buggy and sort of empty in the original.

I only found one scripting problem in my DC playthrough and zero hard bugs, and Cali didn't feel empty to me at all. Tons to do and several missions active the whole time I was there.

Barely starting the California area myself right now working on Rodia, only 1 crash to desktop so far during an area transition in Arizona. So the Director's cut is all around pretty stable at least for me.

Quick question about game length, just so I know what I am getting into - is it true that after Arizona there is still 50% of the game to play or is that an exaggeration? Can I have a rough estimation of LA playtime?

Played a lot of EA. Finished the game twice on vanilla and never Director's Cut edition because I thought that Director's Cut would include the missing content they didn't put in the game but it does not. Indeed you can spend another half of the game in CA. The thing is that the game is big, but not in a great way. Underrail is better in every way possible and I never got to finish it.

Started a play through of this game yesterday and so far I am enjoying it a lot. I ignored the distress signal from the Ag Center cause I didn't appreciate the bitch making demands, however hilarious it may be.

Highpool's reaction isn't much better. I regret using the wreaking crew's trebuchet to butcher the town.

Continued my game for DC because of TTON :)) I wanted to remember again how the game is as a whole. Despite wanting a better story, the fact that
main plot has the same objectives
the game is pretty fun playing in battle at highest speed. Also the reactivity is there.

If I want to play the original release of Wasteland 2, will it have the same patches and additional content the director's cut has?

Er ... the patches and content ... you're describing the Director's Cut itself. So no.

Does the Director's Cut really have additional content? I only thought it has better graphics and full screen inventory. Not talking about the quirk system. I mean actual story content. I never got to finish the Director's Cut because in the official info they didn't write any additions to the story :

I remember that the last area didn't make much sense in the vanilla. Angela Death was nowhere to be found, the last battle was a pain in the ass because it took about an hour to finish...

No new areas or quests or suchlike, but the expanded character development and combat options might be considered content from certain precepts. In any case, whatever Grotesque was looking for that was added in the DC, it was only added in the DC.

Better UI, not filled with obnoxious voice acting.

No.

The new UI wasn't really that bad. The barter screen, yes, that's it. And most of the "new" VO didn't really bother me. But yeah, if you're sensitive about that kind of thing, sure. I just think it's small scale compared to the improvements.

I thought it was assumed that she died in the helicopter crash.

I bet that will be the opening of WL3 or some expansion

I need to get around to finish this god damn game sometime. It's 14GB that I could use in a better way.

I just returned after a long absence, installed the repeater in the radio tower over the God's Militia camp, and I just sold bunch of shit to Rambeau at Hollywood. Now I must return to that dude over at who knows where to have my rad suits upgraded. This would be a much better game if the camera didn't suck, if the load times were faster, if the UI was actually good, if saving was faster (seriously, no quick save button in 2015?).
