Anyway, still in a Diablo/Hack'n'Skash mood so i am back to Titan Quest.
qGpsZpd.jpg

Enjoying my Dream focused build so far, more than Warfare/Nature i attempted previously. Phantom strike is a fun ability.
Following the suggestion to dump points into mastery until i get damaging aura and upgrade for my AoE skill. After that i intend to go Hunter and focus on spears, that passive that grants extra attack chance sounds very good.
Found a nice kopesh that confuses and drains mana, killed that damned two-headed dog and just reached Delphi. I am having a comfy time.
This game looks much better than I remember.
Because they brought it back with an Anniversary Edition and all that jazz.

I completed the main quest in Morrowind after 16 years of playing on-and-off. Not fucking about with mods really did help with my investment in the game.

Having said that, I will probably never play this game without a bunch of rebalance and quest mods ever again, lol.

Couldn't be bothered with the expansions right now, but I was craving more TES so I've started playing Oblivion.

After having completed Morrowind I have to say that I think Oblivion is kinda over-hated. Obviously it is a decline from MW in terms of world-building and writing, but the changes in game mechanics are either improvements (combat, stealth, NPC behaviour), or they were poorly implemented in Morrowind, too (levelling system, persuasion, lockpicking). I couldn't give a shit about missing spears, pauldrons, individual left and right gauntlets.
Did you like the absolute barren and static world, walking wikipedias known as NPCs and the stupid 1-button mashing combat in Morrowind? because I don't.
Oblivion is another branch of retardation though, but it's like a lively colorful retardation in its full glory.

I really like Morrowind's keyword conversation system actually.

Edit: Care to explain what's bad about it? I can't really think of a downside. Especially since it exists in Morrowind alongside the type of dialogue system that most RPGs have anyway

Why is this question phrased like I was praising those things?

PulsatingBrain I don't mind the keyword system either. IMO the problem is that like 80% of characters don't have anything unique to say.

I really need some strategy games and RPGs fast!

Ok, I think I found it!

Black Geyser - I have a blast. Really. I know this game is so... basic, with not-that-great writing, without an overcomplicated system, with a bit of sterile graphics but it's just what I wanted - a fantasy RPG with a team, dialogues, big cities, plenty of quests and simple but not shallow battle system. Worth every penny. It's a BG1 clone made good.
Songs of Conquest - after hundreds of hours in HoMM3 it feels fresh and yet familiar. Brilliant graphics, good spell system, interesting character development... Brilliant, brilliant game.

Finished Yakuza 3 Remastered the first game in the series that is not a remake and still looks and plays as a old console port. And I dont mind or take it against it even if it looks and plays much worse then Kiwami games. Instead my focus in only on the story part of the game and I must say its surprisingly rather bad. I dont know how much the remakes altered the stories of the first two games but this one looks like either they not only learned nothing but forgot lessons learned, or this was just a rushed project. The whole story is underwhelming, the villain's underdeveloped, one villain is dealt offscreen, "return" of one old character I found to be stupid, parts with the orphanage were a painful chore and honestly I dont know any new character that I actually liked.

This is easily the worst Yakuza game so far, one that I cant even recommend for a playthrough.

Hopefully this is the worst part of the series and things will go back on track with Yakuza 4 that I just installed.

I have played Homeworld 1 campaign for the first time like, 10 years ago, despite enjoying the story i found the gameplay to be too slow paced for my starcraft addled brain so when i saw the 10th mission (the mine fields one) i just groaned and stopped.
When i bought a new PC last year i decided to copy the data from old HDD to the new and i saw the homeworld game, still installed, i felt a pang of guilt for leaving it unfinished so i decided to do it once and for all.
The saved games folder was empty for some reason lol so i said fuck i will binge the whole game in two days. First 5 or 6 missions or so are the easy start of a campaign so i will blitz through it anyway.

Late game missions are indeed slow paced (especially the one with 150+ enemy ships on a map) but i enjoyed the slow crawl this time.
Despite the campaign story being for one faction only, you can choose to play as the enemy faction which does not change the story but instead just swaps your units, which is a weird thing to have in an RTS, can't remember any other game doing it.
The 3rd mission emotional punch is still strong after all this time, maybe even more so, something you rarely see in a videogame.
The overall story presentation is minimalistic, i would even say excessively so, luckily the manual is here to fill in the gaps.

With all that being said, this is a quality game but the general gameplay style is just not enough for me to jump straight into expansion and the sequel (also, i heard mixed reviews about their campaigns). Maybe some time later.

Also, the music

It's fun to whack an occasianal special mob with a stick while it's under a stone curse.
It's absolutely rage inducing when half the enemies on the map require this approach.

Everyone is playing Diablo all of the sudden. Is it because of the D4 beta?

I'm playing Diablo 2 after finishing D1 last week. So far it is how I remember it from my random sessions 10 to 20 years ago - rather boring and it lacks the charm of the visuals and audio of the 1st one. I am however curious about the advanced mechanics and character development, and I'm willing to force myself through the game to the end of at least normal difficulty.

As for the 1st game, despite it being a harbanger of the decline with bad mechanics, too random loot and too many annoyances to mention, I struggle to think about it in those terms. All I can remember is the music, the characters and the atmosphere, even though I know it's not how the game actually plays. Weird.

I actually have very little interest in Diablo 4 whatsoever, my lap likely won't be able to run it anyway.
Just in a mood for Hack'n'Slash and i don't know what to play next.

Grim Dawn+ expansions? but tbh H&S are repetitive.

Already played it, together with the Titan Quest. I remember it being a bit better pacing wise though i vastly prefer the TQ visuals.
Can somewhat tolerate a bit of repetitiveness if the game gives me cool loot, some interesting abilities/classes to tinker with and a nice sense of progression.
Will give GD another try later once it goes on sale again I played the pirated version previously

In classic ( in hell difficulty) they are monsters with double immunity and resistance to 3 element, in hellfire they went even more retarded and introduced triple immunities. Only way to kill such monster as a sorcerer is either use stone curse and summon golem or use apocalipse spell but book of this spell is only possible to get after killing final hellfire boss
Diablo 1 is not intended to be played above normal difficulty in singleplayer for a reason.

Loot he dropped was very dissapointing, unfortunately.
He drops better shit in Ultimate or whatever the last difficulty the game has. Also, the main issue of the game is that it's quite mild in terms of replayability... sure you have the special bosses like the Manticore, the hydra, and the undead dragon but not really worth doing all the game over again.

I am still using the same 2-3 abilities i was using during my 20 hours of playtime and i lost all hope of finding anything exciting in terms of loot
You won't find shit in your first playthrough. You're basically playing Diablo 2 in normal mode and basically, you won't find any cool shit but while d2 is fast-paced TQ is slow.
The fact that you had to use the same 3 skills for 20hs is also part of the problem (can't blame you, most of the abilities from the skill tree are passives). I use a mod that drops better loot but even with that it's really not that interesting.

I too have finally started a proper playthrough of Diablo 2. My Necromancer got the drip.

Something was definitely lost during the transition to sequel but i would be lying if said that i don't enjoy the faster pacing and the mechanical changes.
It was also kinda sad seeing Tristan right after completing ragequiting at the last level in Diablo 1.

Normal is indeed too easy though, why most of these games insist on not letting you touch the higher difficulties before you complete them at least ones?

part of progression I guess. I know grim dawn has a veteran mode that you can tick in addition to the difficulty which makes the game harder and is available from the start, which is nice. Drops better loot too.

I played summoner necromancer and was having a blast on my last run but I had to reset the skills towards the end because it was trash in the act IV. Mages were like made of paper and all of them warriors included, died easily against Diablo.
