Will you play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

No buy. There's so many games to play, new and old, I don't need to waste my time on woke trash. Vavra deserves the death penalty for his betrayal.

A 90% discount seems reasonable, enough money for a cheap meal or two. 10 years from now, giving that much to a long-since failed developer so that he has to suck one less nigger cock out back the gay club is the kind of magnanimity and forgiveness that I'm known for.

The beauty part is that I'm already drowning in games. Even if I did grab this one on day one, I probably wouldn't get around to playing it for another 2-3 years, anyway. There is quite literally zero reason in this environment to buy any major release at full price, EXCEPT FOR personal loyalty/affection. Warhorse used to have mine.
It is baffling to me that developers would engage in a war with their own playerbase in this environment. Its crazy to me.

So many good games both old and new that replaying is a luxury most people in the hobby dont have, let alone giving money to someone that actively hates them.

Especially when Vavra made it very clear that there are certain hills he's willing to die on. And he stood firm for years against the most insane shit that people threw at him.

I hoping the release will bring some context at least, to what's happening behind closed doors.

Twice. One time to thank Istvan Toth for slapping everybody on their sweet little butt whilst being rope-tied in KCD1. And another time becuz I wanna!

Back then it was the wokie duds getting filtered hard. Now it's the anti-wokies, tellingly throwing their "icon" under the bus the very second but a rumor appeared.

Kingdom Come Deliverance: Separating the wheat from the chaff since 2018. Well done, Dan, well done! :salute:

I was planning on playing without buying from the start because I have other concerns and stuff to waste money on, so nothing changed. But I intend to buy if I enjoy the game when its on sale. The drama about the leaks feels overblow to me: this whole thing is not comparable to your average retarded western dev/AAA slop.

Now that its confirmed DEI'd, I will still check out playthroughs as I am curious to what extent they've gone down the DEI path.

Its all clearly shoe horned in there, so I don't expect anything good at all. Its a shame because the scenery and combat looks good.

In any case my PC can't play it anyway. Maybe it if gets fixed up in a few years and goes on sale for $2.99 I'll consider it.

Is it confirmed? That one screenshot I've seen looked kinda fake to me.

Yes its official now, you can check out the other thread or Varvas Tweet:

1/10 There are NO unskippable cutscenes in our games. Anybody who claims otherwise never played them.

2/10 We are NOT (nor ever were) banned in any country – at least not that we know of.

3/10 As much as I don’t like "forced diversity", nobody was forcing us to do anything, and we are not forcing anyone to do certain things.

4/10 Gay characters were already in KCD1.

5/10 KCD is an RPG, you are responsible for your decisions. If you want Henry to try a same-sex adventure, feel free. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. All affairs are (and were in KCD1) purely optional. The characters are perfectly aware, that it was a forbidden sin.

6/10 The game takes place in one of the richest cities in Europe which was besieged by a massive foreign army. That´s the reason why the life in such a city is more diverse than the life in villages which were featured in the first game.

7/10 Musa came to Bohemia with an invading army as a member of the royal court of King Sigismund, whom he met thanks to his engagement at the court of Sultan Bayezid. He's an educated noble and renaissance man from the Kingdom of Mali.

8/10 At the same time, Musa is a very unusual figure for the local Bohemian folk, and many of the situations around him in the game stem from this. So his presence makes sense and creates lots of interesting situations in the game. The way he talks and behaves has a reason.

9/10 Everything displayed corresponds to the morals and social norms of 1403 Bohemia and is only there to make an interesting story, and not at all to appeal to a “modern audience".

10/10 We don't want KCD to be used as clickbait by people who didn't even play it yet. Some of them sadly turned into exactly the same narrative they pretend to be fighting against. The amount of hateful behavior is really sad and it will damage any cause associated with it.

"There were no niggers in bohemia!"

(Except this one black scholar from half way across the world that got there merely by political connections and impressive medical skills, that came preaching about how his society is more advanced.) As historical records clearly show.

This is exactly what I didn't want to hear. Nobody wants these "lots of interesting situations"

At this point, even if you had the roleplaying option to lead a lynch mob against the black-skinned devil, I still wouldn't buy this game. Musa has no place in medieval Bohemia, not even as a hanging nigger corpse.

I’m still kind of okay with the supposed wokenessssss. It doesn’t look Dragon Age Veiltard in terms of DEI at all. I’m going to buy and play it, I suspect the wokeness is being overblown more than it should be.

Hate me!

Nah.

I intended to do so as I enjoyed the first game for the most part. It was clunky and frustrating at times but there was a certain charm to it. More importantly, it wasn't fully on board with performative tokenism.

A sequel to a game, movie or TV show being hijacked is nothing new and the main reason why I do not preorder games any longer. My decision proved wise as the development team sold out and if not for the leaks would have presented the game as something entirely different to what is actually being put out there.

It's the trickery that bothers me more than anything. If they were really so enthusiastic and confident in Henry being able to romance another guy and a sanitised 'scholar' from a very distant country being present then they would have shown it off during the marketing phase and had journalists gushing over both elements.

Instead, they hid it. That says a lot, really.

The game will still sell rather well but this scandal will reduce the profits they would have made significantly and a lot of people will simply add future games from the company to the list of stuff not to bother touching.

I'm still on a GTX 1080, so will give it a miss for now. A friend of mine might be upgrading from his 3000 series card (a 3080?) and said that he'd pass it down to me. Will play ASAP if that happens.

It does not look that bad but if the DEI is indeed so minor as claimed then why even include it. iDK if this was released by Ubisoft it would not have the outrage. Its that people have been led up the garden path by Vavra and his masters.
