Is anyone else upset about the combat log? It's not only invisible by default, it's also kind of intrusively placed, you can't move it, it's tiny and not resizable.

Another part of the shit UI. You can't even see spell descriptions in the log, or even see damage dice on a hit that missed and did no damage. IDK if this is intentional, but it annoyed me on my second run since I wanted to find out what kind of fire the imps threw at me since the damage was laughably low. But since they never hit me I will never know I guess. All I know is that their to hit bonus is +1 due to being trained but having -1 in their mainstat.

The combat log sucks in a D&D game. Come on Larian. It feels like a throwaway feature and we were not even supposed to look at it.

I like how people are just now figuring out 5E, while we've been complaining about that stuff since the beginning of 5E and the beginning of the first BG3 thread. Maybe play some tabletop? It's very fun, I promise.

RE: Are these all the companions? Like I said before, I doubt there are going to be any more. The fact Larian are so keen on making them also PCs with their own stories, voice acting, and unique options makes it unlikely there will be more. Maybe 1 more, but I doubt it. This isn't BG1, you guys.

Larian said there are more Companions coming. And given the huge influx of money they have gotten from EA already (it appears well over a million copies sold already in EA), I wouldn't be surprised if Larian gets every generous with how many Companions they do. I still want an US Companion (apparently folks at Larian pushed for Us to be upgraded to full origin character, but Swen said no, at least for now).

Pathfinder: Wrath
Not only does Solasta not have multiclassing, it also only has 6 classes (most of them meh).

Solid points. I would say it's fairly likely that githzerai make it into the final game if the monk class also does.
All 12 core classes will be in the final version of the game. They already said that multiple times, and they can't break their pinky promise, or I'm going to buy a ticket to the shithole they call "home" and I'm going to punch them in the nuts.

Wait, Solasta is confirmed not to have multiclassing?

https://forums.solasta-game.com/forum/multiclassing

Everyone hyped for Solasta who has ever played 5e is a moron. 5e without multiclassing is like cooking without spices, including salt.
That said maybe modders really manage to make that work.

While I'll say it's not that bad, I wouldn't play a 5e game without multiclassing. The best (re: fucking broken as shit) builds are multiclassed builds.

Mostly involving some level of warlock or sorcerer.

If you didn't hold such... specific and tasteless political views that are actively dangerous to me and the DM of the group, I'd have invited you play with us next time I am in Sofia, but alas.
I can reach Sofia with a 24 hours' notice. I'm free on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, but Tuesdays work best for me.

Even DOS2 didn't only have five companions. Plus didn't they say in interviews they were working on a few more?

It's Ok. Today I woke up and decided to load it again. It's great, it's ok. It's decent.
I mean I can play that.
It would've been better if I never saw DOS2, but alas. It's not game of all times and it's certainly NOT (as my fellow codexer's from germany or belgian might say) - poopenfarten. UI sucks tho.
It's ok. Not bad not great. It's what it is. OK. I really like spells utility tho.

Solasta is going to be Raw 5E no expanded official rules?

They hardly will come even close to the BG2 companion amount if they keep up this origin story shit.

BG3 is awesome and the haters can go deepthroat a Mutate Polar Bear.

BG3 is making a killing, bring joy to millions, and if trends continue could be the first TB CRPG to do more then a Billion Dollars in sales.

The game is so profitable already I could them hiring more folks so that they can expanse the companion options. Plus there are Mercanaries as Companions.

Lol 5e feats.

5e Feats are pretty powerful, although they are largely making their own feats because the only feat that is in the SRD is grapple.

Mercenaries that don't come with banter, a unique personality, custom sound voices, and so on? No thanks.

Yeah, that said, this is to be expected with almost every games studio except the few with the balls to love the bad press like the Kingdom Come guy’s.

As a reminder: remember that Pathfinder: Kingmaker has an elf that openly wants to cuck you from day one with a nigger (orc) and the two of them invite you for a threesome right off the bat.

You also can’t even get rid of them. They’re PERMANENT.

Hearing that story is what forever prevented me from trying Kingmaker.

You can tell them to fuck off when they bring it up. Besides they are just two twisted souls that have been locked up as slaves since forever, it's no wonder they are a bit weird in the head.
Yeah, but they’re still there.

Personally, I just get the orc killed and don’t resurrect him. It means his corpse is there next to his lover (who doesn’t react to it) for the whole game, but since you can’t kick them out (or doing so means you are gimped because they’re advisors, I don’t remember), this is the next best thing.
