I am pretty excited for it even though it isn't what I hoped. My thoughts are:

Turn based is best.
4 party size is a shame. Mods wont help because of balance issues.
I hope it has plenty of tough boss battles and not lots of trash fights.
I hope I can get high level like BG2 and use Time Stop and stuff, and not spend the whole game shooting magic missile.
I hope I can mash 1 to skip all the dialogue.
You all care about effects and UI and shit far too much. Go play KOTC and learn what matters.
I hope they go easy on the containers that I have to loot, tedious af.

I mean, if they really decide to go for only 8 classes (and I find it hard to believe), which ones are they gonna cut?

We know cleric, fighter, ranger, rogue, wizard and warlock are in the game. We are left with barbarian, bard, druid, monk, paladin and sorcerer. Obviously the most sacrificable is monk (sorry, Pink Eye), but I really can't think of any other expendable class.

I demand a different quality to writing now.
Exactly, whatever they do they can't win. If the writing stays the same it'll be goofy and too larianesque, if they change it it will be #NOTMYBALDURSGATE
The only winning move is to be a fencesitter and shitpoast.

Sorc and Wiz are the same thing. I could live without a barb and monk if there is a rogue. I could live without a pally if the fighter is good. Bard is cool but not really essential. Druid is essential, need a wisdom caster besides cleric.

No one play druid or bard. Ever. So it's 2 easiest classes to cut.
What. I love druids and in this edition they are incredibly fun. Until level 4 they are also the most broken class in the game, with 5x the hp of a fighter and 3x the damage output. I never play through a D&D game without a druid, simply because it gives a different spell list which is fun to experiment with.

Bards in 5th edition are very different from 3.5, now they reach 9th level spells and they have interesting mechanics.

In D&D 5, metamagic feats are a class feature for sorcerers, it's enough to make them very different from wizards.

Beyond all that is talked in last 50 pages since the live stream I need to say that I didn't see the kind of content or AAA production that would need 350 people. I don't understand what is Sven using all these people on. Is 100 people working on the game and 250 are girls stroking his cock?
The opening cinematic was nice, the rest does not look like AAA, and certainly not 350 people worth. Bunch of corridors, sterile dungeons, boring traps and a bit of VO. At least they should have gone Witcher 3 and had big open areas to roam through.

Given that they are reusing the same engine as DoS2, I want to know how moddable the game will be, and can we add classes into the game ourselves?

Could be a Divinity 4.0 toolset or Divinity 4.0 Construction Kit in the works. Something like Aurora or Electron toolsets would be good.

I don't know where this "party size of 4" comes from, but it's a) not confirmed and b) shown in the leaked screenshots to not be true.

Fuck you moderntard with your "greay" moral relativism shit gib me muh Paladon so i can go bring a can of Deus Vult on the filthy heretics.
One of the reasons the morality system is D&D has always been controversial is because of the Paladin and how relativistic it can be.

From what I gathered from interviews they will probably work on modding tools after the release of the game. They acknowledge that it's something a lot of people will want but want to focus on the campaign first

You've been here since 2006 and you don't know wtf a grognard is?
Damn...

Heard the term many times before just never cared enough to know where it came from. I'm not really part of the Codex family, too autistic for that i just come here to sperg and troll lmao
Grognards were napoleon's elite force , a prestige corp, complaining all the time even in front of the emperor (the only soldiers allowed to do that),complaining all the time but they keep going on , surviving every battlefields and loyal to death.

The inventory screen seems to be "made" for 4 characters. But yeah, the leaked images show 5 PCs
