I talk about the Might & Magic 10 Design Proposal that Troika made in late 2003 and submitted in February 2004 to Ubisoft. Spoiler alert: we didn't get the contract.

Correction: the MM10 proposal isn't 10-15 pages long like I said in this video. It's 25 pages long. I was wordy.

Wesp5 has asked about Bloodlines' cut content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iugDcbR-gE&lc=UgzGEvu8KMbE6irC_vh4AaABAg

Hello Tim, Wesp5 here, the man behind the Unofficial Patches. In this video you already confirmed the cut Hallowbrook Atrium and Public Library maps which we restored for the patch, but do you remember anything about the Chateau Marmont hotel and where it was supposed to be used? I asked Brian Mitsoda about it, but he had no idea. We rebuild it as the Anarchs endgame haven and for the Prelude I mod in which you actually play as a human hunter! For the latter we restored a lot of the multiplayer hunter content you left hidden in the game files, but I would so love to see any of the maps you said were finished! Can these be found somewhere? Also would you be willing to answer questions about other unfinished content? Like is your comment about the Warrens about the Nosferatu Lair sections or the endless sewer levels before that?

Wesp5! You have done (and are doing) amazing work. I wish I could answer your area design questions, but I didn't work on those cut areas so I don't really know. My Vampire archive is woefully incomplete, as I know I am missing most artwork, many levels, and a lot of other things. I will try to ask other ex-Troika folks.
Wesp5 said:
That would be great. Any chance you can share what you do have in your archive in another video? Or post the original design document somewhere where we can take a look ;)?

I'll see what I can do.
This is getting better and better.

For a proper Bloodlines run-down, he would probably need a guest appearance by Leonard Boyskarsky or another ex-Troika member.
Didnt Chad Moore also work on it?

Unless they have documents they can refer to, I don't think any of these people can really remember what happened 20 years ago (I certainly don't).

He says in the multiplayer content video that he only joined the dev team in late 2003, he was busy with ToEE mainly. It was Boyarsky and Jason Anderson's game.

When he says there shouldn't be lore dumps (or bombs, I can't make it out), it's so sad to hear him say that. Just tells you how little influence he had at Obshitian.

Well he wasn't a lead at Obsidian, just a senior programmer. His own game, The Outer Worlds, did have fewer lore dumps than Obsidian's prior isometric RPGs.

Find out Tim is colorblind when watching this video.

timestamped where he talks briefly about it.

(This video is very much worth watching from the beginning)

Remember he was game director of Outer Worlds

Ask AI about Outer Worlds color palette

The Outer Worlds does not have a colorblind mode because it was designed to be playable without color information, which is redundant with other indicators. Tim Cain (one of the directors) has a form of colorblindness that approaches monochromacy.

A lot of Tim's ideas he is telling us about in these videos are fucking gold. It's amazing how indie developers of now still can't come close to some of this stuff. I don't know if Tim still "has it" but it feels good to hear some actual good mechanics and ideas in the RPG world and this shit was from 20 years ago.

At 3:00 is he implying that he was amongst the modders who wrote the unoffical patches for Troika's games? If so, much respect to this guy.

He 100% was involved but he can't say it ouright.
Microsoft has the Arcanum IP and Obsidian+inXile work for them. The 3 amigos(Boyarski,Cain and Aderson) can team up and give us Arcanum 2 or a finsished version of Arcanum on a new engine. I'm sure that Fargo would not mind and i'd rather have InXile make and promote the game rather than Fergus who has 0 charisma.

I usually don't tell people to read YouTube comments, but there are some interesting answers from Tim.
