fantadomat is right in one thing, I'm not very surprised that a guy that thought LARPing riding the train in Star Shitizen for 20 minutes is the "height of gameplay" is super amazed by this game. It's also not very surprising that you seemingly can't comprehend and respond to my posts in any coherent fashion or that you thought Screenshots that show World of Warcraft level of detail in the background and bushes as 2D billboards would convince people that it's the "best looking game ever".

I don't need to "comprehend" what retards like you are saying. Speaking of which here we have another retard because again you don't know a fucking thing about what LOD is.

You should team up with fantadomat. Maybe with two brains you will be only half retarded.

Upgrading can get you only so far, unless you are spec-ed into tech and have an iconic weapon that can not only be upgraded but also uptiered.

You get recipes for all things in the game. I think when you pick up iconing weapon you also get its recipe.
Thus you can create new weapon without upgrading. It costs a lot more but still way less than doing serious upgrades

It's not Deus Ex, but I have appreciated the way I could approach combat situations differently. Playing on hard, each death has given me multiple opportunities to approach every difficulty differently, whether through hacking, stealth, or different combat method.
It's a great game.

That is a bit depressing. I'm just in the beginning but I guess the itemization at least won't be quite as painful as in the Witcher 2/3

It's even worse. Another thing CDPR insist on doing...

It's also sad that cyberware and hack tools are low in numbers and much better itemwise. But then we delve into endless thrash weapon pit for %1 gain.

Edit about driving: Some cars are better, 2-3 of them really felt OK considerin other floters.

Anyone else ran away from Stout at the motel? lol
No, but it's an understandable reaction. Though I assume you arranged that meeting in the first place. I did it for science :D .
Also, it netted me an awesome non-lethal melee weapon.

I didn't know what was being arranged tbh, both answers to her text were very similar and neither should have lead to that :P tho I knew what its gonna be cos of that scene leaked before. I entered the room, there was only one dialogue option saying "talk to her" and it lead to the scene, reloaded to see if I can back out, to try if the door was locked or something and it was open and I walked away :P

I was actually disappointed that cyberware became useless in the end game and that it offers no physical cosmetic changes. Really felt like they just added it in to make people think this game was a Deus Ex clone but you can and probably should go the entire game without upgrading it because there are better things to spend your eddies on. (like ammo! because you will need a lot of it). Lot of wasted potential.

Is there actually a way to counter hacks done on you? The buggy AI annoys the shit out of me with it's constant hacking through walls without having a LoS.
Since there is this progress bar for a while before it fires, I assume you can stop it?

It's a great game.

At start it feels railoady and very easy. Later on stuff gets harder, dudes get better cones of view, locations open up to take them on from different sides etc. It will not win awards for gameplay but this is definitely much better than most of AAA competition and way above anything they did in TW3.

Right now gameplay wise it is basically mix of Deus Ex like systems/Bordelands guns and GTA+ overworld structure and TW3 like C&C The more i play the better it also gets as you get access to more interesting stuff like mods and implants while C&C gets more and more mudy similar how TW3 made decisions coming up sometimes with uninportant dialogues.

So far the biggest incline in their is their combination of progression systems. Because you have:

- perks you get from lvl up
- skills you get by using stuff
- mods you choose for weapon armors adn implants
- and finally implants

So it is multi tiered progression system.

Wanna make good blade specialist ? Blades on skill tree + some perks from other trees, implants to give you kick of stamina and health in various situations, double jump, camo + mods for example lowering damage of your oponent hits for weapons and armor.

Getting skills is easy, obtaining enough money to kit out full build is huge task and leveling by itself skill also does give some proper bonuses which will take some good time.

Anyway niggas even if you think the game is total trash you cant say anything bad about the soundtrack.
It's very unmemorable. There's only one track that stuck with me (although the voodoo chapel track fit incredibly well) and the best part of it doesn't even seem to be in the OST. Even the radio, I only really play 2 stations, jazz and elevator muzak ones.
With guys like Ed Harrison out there working for peanuts, I was expecting a lot better.

Enemies go down in one hit once you get a bit further into the game, even on hard. There are 50% damage bonus perks for headshots and shit like that, and you can get crits routinely. Also shotguns knock enemies down, so it's easy to kill them after. I hate bullet sponges and I've had no issues with that in this game, after level 5 or so.

I'm playing a nomad/tech rambo gunslinger on very hard and at about level 12-14, once I found a decent revolver in a side quest (or gig, hard to say) and got not one but two +50% headshot damage cyberware mods, I started exploding heads with one shot.

It is a bit spongy but not ridiculously so early on, also because instead of clearing out side-content stuff in Watson I went after Northside etc. first. Main problem was trying to shoot distant targets with a pistol before the damage drop off elimination perk, especially with a rapid fire pistol (should have went revolver from the start). Early on it was also easier to grab a shotgun, run point blank range and abuse stagger/knockdown rather than slug it with a pistol.

Cyberpsychos are the only real sponges I encountered so far.

Don't forget Far Cry 2+, this game wouldn't exist without the Far Cries.
CDPR developed a game for high end pcs, then downgraded and ported it to the pc.
I'm just going to assume you meant consoles at the end there. Still wrong, they took so long with this game that before they were done with it, and they still aren't, a new generation of consoles came out. If not for that it would have been set on making the PS4 and Xbox Whatever the best possible experience and then ported that to PC. So they never had a chance to downgrade the game and take time on focusing on that. They are still aimed at PS5 and XBOX SERIES XBOX or whatever stupid shit they named the new Xbone and whatever they got working on old gen consoles they just shat out and hoped for the best. It's early on and people haven't gotten around to getting a next gen console yet so they had to do it like that to get the most sales.

Once they get a proper next gen console version working and iron out the bugs the console plebs will be flocking to get some of that polish shedick.

Itemization is mighty stupid tho. I tried to keep V's iconic pistol useful by upgrading, but the costs get ridiculous after a few levels. And there is no need to, better guns fall off the sky at every corner.
Found a tech pistol early that deals faaar too much damage, AND lets me see/shoot people through cover. Outclassing everything else. For 10 levels now.
What would Sawyer think about that?

The mats are my problem. If mat costs wouldn't go up so much I would roll with it. Building the rare version of that gun requires purple mats I haven't even seen yet, plus blue mats worth more than 2 cars at least.
Also quest rewards don't seem to scale properly. Got a call for a gun competition somewhere at lvl 10 or so, reward was a shitty low level purple pistol. Upgrading it was impossible expensive... so what was the point of that?

Gave a decent score for what it is and people nearly crucified her for it. (yes her it was a female that bashed "holy CDPR" game)

Don't forget to mention that later turned out that she barely played the game, and glossed over critical mechanics and quests just because she isn't into games like this.

Ok then explain now why itemization is worse than in TW3. We are waiting.

- either you didn't play TW3 at all
- you didn't play 77
- you didn't play both
- or your memory is swiss cheese

Because there is no way TW3 has better itemization than 77.

There is one perk that show's where your hacker is, you can kill before it happens. There is also a cyberware that nulifies one hack every 60 seconds.

Well I suppose can't fault her for not wanting to play it for too long, even if she is getting paid for it.
Wether it was providence or she actually saw how bad the game is she did nail a lot of things spot on.

So, beat the game, 35h on clock but thanks to high dif, low health and some enemies like snipers it was like 40.Seems I got the best ending from what I see.

Turned on youtube to see the rest, and holy fuck is the English version completely blah, compared to Polish. Even Keanu sounds like some pussy unfitting the Uber Alpha Silverhand.
