Really Fallout 4's problems are mostly its quest design and story/writing.

It's kind of sad how we bashed FO4's shitty dialogue wheel way back when, but now when we compare it to the trash we get served these days, it doesn't seem that bad. Not saying that FO4's wheel isn't cancerous shite, but fuck me at least it's better than CP2077's dialogue 'choices'.

I can see what people mean by "no builds". Just went to clouds, found a PURPLE KATANA in a crate, was easily able to hack and slash my way through everything despite never having used one or being particularly strong. I specced for pistols and intelligence.

That's what happens when your skill tree is mostly % bonuses.

The best build I found so far was one that gives you headshot bonuses to the point where you'll basically one-shot everything in the game, be it gangsters, named bosses, or god himself.

Yes, I'm sure the people that were laughing about it being Delayed 3 times already are the reason they released it before being finished, and not Christmas Sales and Shareholders. You see, they weren't the ones being duped into buying an unfinished product and believing borderline false Advertisement by CDPR, they're actually the ones responsible for CDPR releasing an unfinished product!
They were so rabid in their consciously built Hype over almost 8 years with a drip-feed of information and carefully placed "influencer" partnerships that they wrote Harsh comments and made Memes on the Internet. They even forced CDPR to misrepresent features and the state of their product! There was nothing the poor $11 billion company could have done, really... well now more like $8 billion.

Something that stands out to me as weird is just how many items there are in this game.

A giant amount of clothing, despite your character almost never being visible -- and without the option to really choose how your character looks unless you want to give up armor as you level up.
A giant amount of gun designs, despite the fact that most guns work only three different ways -- and again you will not being able to keep/customize a gun you like for too long and have it still be viable.
A giant amount of food and consumables, despite having them not really be necessary for combat (maybe in certain encounters on highest difficulty?).
A giant amount of cars and motorcycles, despite driving being entirely an afterthought gameplay-wise.

The game has design issues, but no shortage of assets.

As with the guns, food/drink too falls into the 'one of three categories' with very rare exceptions. Unlike guns, the effects are identical within those categories. It is like parts of the team (art?) were a couple of years ahead of the rest.

Probably it is a bug but it would be amazing if you actually shot him and he was just wounded instead of dead and you didn't notice that.
I killed him in the first mission and even though that Maiko chick makes a reference to how you destroyed the club when you meet, he still shows up. Even though I only killed all the mooks in there because I had to decapitate him in the first place. I guess head reattachment surgeries are all the rage in NC nowadays.

If you want to troll then maybe at least play FO4 because not only your trolling fails at 77 but also it looks like you didn't even play FO4.

FO4 wheel was about angry/happy/normal/snarky it had nothing to do with choices and when choices happened it was binary decisions that you could see mile off with ocasional charisma speech check which usually amounted to getting more money. There isn't single quest in FO4 that has as many outcomes as Mealstorm quest in prologue of 77.

And i am one of few people who actually liked FO4 for what it was. Decent looter shooter with horrible characters side quest and story.

It's No Man's Sky all over again. Everytime a developer was asked a question, he just smiled and said "Yes, we will have it". Hopefully the support will have a long leg just like NMS.

Been in the groove with my stealth chick, but occasionally loading up my rifles and shotguns nomad dude. I think the all out gunplay really sucks, and AI is a big reason for that. Enemies either rush you with melee and shotguns or they run behind cover and shoot from a distance. I don't think there's any other AI actions they take, really. They run right at you with such frequency that you're always switching to shotgun, as automatic weapons do shit damage against chests and headshots are difficult on enemies running up in your face. So every encounter is basically stand in one spot around a corner while rushing enemies run into your shotgun over and over until they're all piled up at your feet, then go on a hunt for the ranged guys with your rifle, waiting for them to pop out from cover and getting a headshot. Rinse and repeat over and over. It gets boring quickly.

In contrast the stealth gameplay is pretty good for stealth gameplay. If you're not into it then of course you won't be into it, but if you like snooping around offices and factories headshotting dudes and hacking cameras then I think the gameplay here is just fine. Not amazing, but not bad in any way, just fine.

Speaking of stealth gameplay. There is ripperdock in one place that apparently has legs augument that makes you completely noiseless when you run. There is also one with camo. Moreover each shop has different assortment of things. So two gun shops can specialize in different things.

Neat detail.

I think they built the first-person camera with the female model in mind, and then when they added photo mod, they said fuck it and just kept male V at the same height.

I'm amused, but not surprised, that the Japanese were used as Chinese surrogates in having a military and corporate foothold in the FUSA. It hearkens back to 'Homefront', where the invading villain/China-stand ins were the Norks, of all people.
If anyone figures out how to disable the intro and warning screens, please post. I haven't found any .bik files to rename/delete like in the old days.

It's probably because you've been putting pts into Reflexes, which makes everything under it easily usable. I mean, I've most of my perks on Blades but even without any on Handguns/Assault, it's almost as easy getting kills with the smart handgun/sniper I keep as backups as it is with the katana. I say almost bc I can 1-shot most moderate level enemies even with light attack. Heavy attack I mostly just use for style.
I mean, my Blades level is 9 which seems low considering how much I've used them (especially odd when you gain a blades level after killing someone with a gun or vice-versa) so I reckon not only is progression borked, the relevant Stat level (20 Reflexes in my case) seems to be doing all the heavy lifting.

Why they decided Assault Rifles/SMGs, Handguns and Katanas should be tied to one stat and LMGs, Shotguns, Fists and Blunt to another, I'll never know. I guess that way you can spec into something with limited use and still rely on altogether different weapons for different circumstances without much forethought. But weird, it is.

And that is without bringing into question the difference in base DPS between weapons you can use at lvl 1 and ones you can use at 24. I don't remember how much DPS the starter katana did but I recently grabbed a gun off the floor that did 40. My current katana does 1122. Doesn't that strike anyone else as too wide a gap?

This is in-world fiction, right? Please tell me that's in-world fiction. That's retarded lore-building. Like they just left an infinitely-replicating mine AI just do it's thing and END ALL MARITIME trade. And the corp just gets away with it?

Wow. That's dumb on so many levels.

Shill says he feels "duped" for willingly signing their NDA agreeing to their every demand and shilling, LOL:

Wait, is it THE Jeff Grubb? Who was at TSR in the eighties?

The way he puts it, CDPR is the new DNC.

No, look up "Jeff Grubb TSR" on Google, the author's in his sixties. He'd also probably not write stuff like "I wish I would've been [...]."

A question for the people who played the game:
Is it realistic for them to actually fix the issues in 6-12months? A lot of issues seem very fundamental, like the AI etc.
Wouldn't you kind of have to completely rework multiple major system in the game for this to work?

They plan to milk support this game for the next 6-7 years, minimum. Eventually they will rewrite and fix the AI, either as part of a gigaPatch or an expansion. It would be illogical for them not to try and fix this. This is not likely to happen for at least a year though, I'd guess.

I have to assume that at some point, the devs did explore traffic/pedestrian/police AI. Whatever came of it, and how much additional work, is anybody's guess. IIRC, in the stakeholder's call, CDPR did refer to AI issues as bugs (or they viewed them as bugs), so that's what got this conspiracy theory started.
Some improvements on the AI's reactivity, both to the environment and to the player, are a must. They simply can't hope to ship the MMO with NPC AI that doesn't present some more fun reactions when stealing cars, etc.

Since it's something that both singleplayer and multiplayer will take advantage of, I think it makes sense to expect game updates that improve it.
That sounds very reasonable, which is why I hope this will happen. While I enjoy the game, I enjoy it despite its warts. It's painfully obvious they tried to include everything what's popular from several popular franchises, and most of that came out half-assed. And the city still looks best at night. I now saw some of the bugs with car visibility at the city borders (starting Riders in the Storm at the moment). You can also see that many elements have been designed for something that's not there (yet ?).

I'd wish for a 3rd person view, though I don't get my hopes up. Although they need to accommodate for showing players for an MMO.

Disclaimer: I didn't really follow any of the pre-release footage, ads, articles or anything, so I went into this more or less blindly, not knowing what to expect. I more or less bought the game because I find the theme interesting. While I know the p&p system behind this, I wasn't really a fan. It just makes me feel nostalgic, in an 80's kind of way.
