Went into Kopeki Plaza today, very late in Act 2. The bodies were still writhing.
I was mostly curious whether I manage to get on the roof, and that worked. Jumping down afterwards took a few attempts, and I had to rely on the sliding invulnerability glitch to get into water in the end.

On a different note, did anyone actually find out what the V-shaped buidling in that huge walled area between North Oak and the moved Nomad Camp is? Probably DLC content.
This one?

Yes, that one.
Dlc material the tunnel from kerrys mansion seems to lead there as you can see in the concept art its some sort of casino.
Yeah, I already tried that tunnel, which warps you back, like when you try to approach that wall.
Looks like the landscaping still needs some work.

The reality is even worse than Cyberpunk, on Cyberpunk fantasy, there are still people willing to defy the system and you can get some refuge between the cracks in the system, in reality, with the way things are evolving, soon, tought police will be everywhere and your neighbour will be the one to denounce you for wrong thinking. Dont like SJW? You will lose your bank account and guess what? All money is digital, so good luck buying food. So, be a good boy, go on twitter say that you are against the system and like trannies while sucking the cock of Google and company like everybody else.

Control will be total as soon as they will ditch personal computers and force everyone to streaming technology. Then every "faggot", "whore" and "I don't want to suck nigger dick" will be transparent and will be traced back to you and probably even immediately showed in your social net profile, and every your "friend" willbe forced to rate it. Reality probably even will be much worse.

Damn great watch that video. Hits the nail on EVERYTHING that's wrong with the game from crafting, open world activities, combat to story. The only thing I disagree with is with the statement at the end where gaming is dying. It is not but I did get the same sense as the only AAA studio with somewhat consumer-friendly reputation (arguable) went down the shitter. I guess people expected that we would get multi-milion GTA-CRPG, the pinnacle of open-world games. Witcher 1 had shitty graphics so with the sequel CDPR fixed that. The sequel was in closed locations so third game fixed that again with open world and servicable quality. So when CDPR promised non-linear game we thought they would keep their promise. Pawel Sasko said we would replay the game to check all the content when they have shown All-Foods quest back in 2018. Well they have blown their budget on Twtich streamers cameos, A$AP Rocky and other artists doing music for the game and Keanu Reeves. And also merch, socks, shoes, a goddamn Old Spice shower gel with V on the cover.

Except it is whole prologue mate which is like 4-6 hours. And it is not like whole thing ends, V just have other bigger issue on hand but still that theme is going in background..

He was talking about the montage showing "last 6 months" which could be tutorial missions, how to buy cars, clothes, how fixers work, side-activities at bars, clubs, how to buy apartments. The current story feels more like a climax, like you have proven yourself and your achievement is getting in contact with Dexter DeShawn and access to Afterlife. Although they have promised Dex job to retrieve Flathead was to be one of the first missions. I've just expected the heist would be more like after 50 % of the game. It would also be a good thing to support the non-linear thing like getting intel, fake-identities, contigency plan if something would go wrong which would result in different fate of everyone involved in the heist.

I've really expected the game to have all the non-linear content a'la New Vegas but bigger + open-world radiant quests from fixers and some races but with unique rewards for progressing those and tied to reputation system with all the different gangs and corps. Those in turn would allow to solve quests peacefully, get unique themed-loot and vehicles and have different bounty-hunters and mercs hunting you in some parts of the town. Y'know systems which support each other and create an illusion of being one of many Solos in Night City.

There's no need to talk about the game like "Look at this dialog option/feature that was cut!!11". You can tell perfectly, just by the trailers and how the advertising of the game were handled through time, that this game was in a development hell. I'm fuckin 100% convinced that this game had a bunch of different builds and prototypes during these years. I'm sure that build that Pondsmith mentioned where you can pick your character class (And even play as a police, like it was teased in the teaser trailer) actually exist, lost somewhere in one of CD Projekt's office PCs. Even at the end we got an unfinished version.

It's quite possible, and yet no matter how much people complain about the design of this game it's pretty much exactly what I expected after The Witcher 3. What was the core of Witcher 3? Wandering around a map from one marker to another, with really great cutscenes for quests. Cyberpunk is the same thing, only a lot of quests do their dialog over phone/text (which is an easier way to do it and justified by the setting). In other words, there's no new "decline" here IMO. It's the same gameplay philosophy as their last project. Maybe more corners were cut here and there, and it came out buggy especially on console, but overall it's the kind of game they obviously want to make. The decline happened after Witcher 2 when they decided to go with big open world checklist design.

And we are traveling down the checklist of AAA degeneracy, next stop Cyberpunk Online. 77 may be the closest thing to a good game we ever see from CDPR again.

I would like to speculate on the next Witcher game, will they even bother with single player or go straight to Online? Probably have to wait and see what happens with the fallout from this release first and how successful CP Online will be.

I honestly didn't notice more than just a few references to him being from 50 year ago. Same with Alt - she's just in an unreachable place, not lost 50 years. There's maybe a total of 10 references like that in my opinion, and most of them were a bit too off to cuff for me to feel like the whole game is built around the concept. Remove those lines and I couldn't tell you if it was a year ago or 50. The only thing I could reasonably accept as evidence is nuking Arasaka tower, but then again, it is exactly the same in the flashback and in the city (in fact, you can get up there on the rooftop, see the destroyed turrets and dead bodies - it is exactly the same building and it takes place in the actual city - they didn't even bother mapping like an LOD version of the city centre for that segment).

You didn't notice that Rogue is a slightly wrinkled MILF now and a young girl in the Johnny flashbacks? ;)

Yea, unfortunately reality is always far more boring and mundane than our hopes and dreams. We could end up in a dystopian world where our every movement and thought is controlled and manipulated by gigantic corpos, but unlike cyberpunk, daily life will be soul destroying drudgery and grind. Cyberpunk as a genre is filled with excitement and glamour and there is always the plucky hero fighting against the system. It is this way because it is fantasy/entertainment. Real life is an existentialist nightmare because nothing you will do matters, and we spend our time in fictional worlds to escape from that fact.

If there is ever any push back against the globalist hegemony it will be the great mass of people rising up, as a revolution, not some Gary Sue Chosen One saving the world.

Honestly, the 50-year technological stasis is hilarious and never really adequately explained, unless it's an ending thing. I'm not going to finish this game in its current state, I'm just not going to put myself through that.

1969 - Man lands on the moon
2020 - We can barely make it into earth orbit

1954 - First nuclear power plant on the grid
2022 - Germany decomissions all nuclear power plants to replace them with coal power plants

Yeah, going back to politics for a bit, devolution is a fact. e.g. materials science has been stagnant for decades, apparently, and probably most of us here are aware of the "replication crisis" in the softer sciences (psychology, sociology, etc.). I don't think this was at all inevitable, but that's another story ...

Noone's even mentioning that trailer where V talks an entire essay about how Night City is the city of dreams and how you can make it big etc etc, that just doesn't fit in with a story that gives you terminal brain cancer in the first few hours then makes you chase around for a cure. That original premise also makes way more sense for an RPG altogether.

The Fudgemuppet video I linked earlier in the thread talks all about it and analyzes all the promo videos and gameplay videos, comparing them with what we've got - we've been talking about it for a few pages :)

I see a lot of comparison to GTAV and this game no matter how buggy shits all over it. The only thing GTAV does better is small details like NPC AI and stuff like that, but as far as combat, story and everything else that matter goes Cyberpunk is way better

Shush, it's strengst verboten to factor story, presentation and graphics into the overall quality of a game around these parts. You must use your imagination with only the most basic pixellated graphics. :)

When your setting has AI for 50 years and they sit on their asses doing nothing (and relatively powerful AI at that, being that the ones we see are general intelligence and above).

Cyberpunk truly is expanding the frontier of transhumanism.

Connection to Sandra/Peralez quest?
I think that's the best part of the game, really interesting. Main quest is boring shit.

Only on codex:

- I finished VTMB at launch best game ever 10/10
- Arcanum is my favorite game ever 10/10
- Nev Vegas grew on me 10/10
- Cyberpunk is buggy mess!
except VTMB, Arcanum and FNV weren't made by a thousand devs with an 8 years of dev cycle and a $300M budget.

Also, not to beat a dead fucking horse, but those were RPGS. CP2077 is, straight from the dev's mouth, an open-world, action-adventure.

RPGcodex hates a buggy, unfinished non-rpg:

Well, Bloodlines was a quite ambitious project back then. It uses the Source engine and in some areas is super impressive, like facial animations. It came out unfinished and with a pletora of bugs, but definitelitvely wasn't a low budget game. On the other hand New vegas was supposed to be a cheap side-quick, Bethesda did not pay Obsidian their bonus due to not reaching enough score in whatevercritic.

Rand and the Economic Forum Cyberpunk on Steroids!

The future will challenge our understanding of what it means to be human, from both a biological and a social standpoint. Emerging biotechnology agendas promise to improve and augment human lifespans and to enhance physical and mental health. The opportunity for the integration of digital technologies with biological tissues is also growing, and what that portends for the next decades is inspiring a range of emotions, from hope to wonder to fear. Optimists depict a more sustainable world, free from the diseases that we battle today. Pessimists warn of a dystopian future of designer babies and unequal access to the fruits of biotechnology.
