Zombra
An iron rock in the river of blood and evil
You got him, buddy! Good work! Did the quest checkmark show as completed? Better have.
Man At Arms (buffs) - Plauge Doc - Houndmaster - Man At Arms (stun)
I killed the swine king and was left with: Houndmaster - Man At Arms
My biggest fault was not relieving the party of stress before doing the dungeon. I got a heart attack shortly before and well you know, 0 hp. My arrogance.
This was my first party wipe My biggest loss was all of those trinkets....
A Google search turns up one result. Guess who."hardcore Roguelike about making difficult decisions with imperfect information"
Like any game with a proper difficulty curve, it starts out difficult and then as you learn its systems it gets easier until you've mastered it and can play optimally. At that point, you'll rarely if ever lose party members. Celerity has reached that point and can apparently no longer comprehend the journey he took to get there (I guess 1000 hours will do that to you).it's hyperbolic to say the game isn't challenging
Yes, although how much of a challenge probably varies quite a bit from person to person.Darkest Dungeon is a challenging
Yes.gothic
Depends on how you define roguelike. It definitely has a few roguelike elements, but it would probably be more accurate to describe the game as rogue-lite.roguelike
Yes.turn-based
I'm just going to leave this one alone, lest we risk starting up the age-old "what is an RPG" discussion and derailing this thread (which should be about Celerity's attention whoring)
Stress and quirks are a core mechanic of the game, so that's a yes.about the psychological stresses of adventuring
The rest of this is all in the game.Recruit, train, and lead a team of flawed heroes against unimaginable horrors, stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark.
That's not how the burden of proof works, kid. When you cite a quote, it's up to you to provide a source. Not my job to search every video ever to prove that quote isn't in any of them.Google the full indie video. I'll wait.
Clerity would advice you to use 4 Hellion i guessneed help with the Cannon boss on Hard. This is easily the most tedious boss (for me at least) since it feels like I can only make such meager progress at a snail's pace.
What I used:
Healer (to get party ready for boss)-Plauge (stun the matchman)-Leper (DMG)-Hellion (DMG and can attack 3 and 4 in case matchman is moved)
Leper is pretty useless in the fight, you need a highwayman imo to kill the guy who lights the cannon every turn, plus he does good damage to the cannon itself.need help with the Cannon boss on Hard. Uh...whatever is going on itt I don't give shit, I need halp.
Finally took the game for a spin an hour ago but hit the wall right away. On my first quest I somehow got 3 of my 4 people completely stressed out so after getting back I put them in the Abbey and the Pub to relax. Now I got 1 dude left and recruited 3 more from the coach. Problem is, I can't go on the next adventure. One of my fresh recruits is Abomination and the other ones are 2 crusaders and 1 vestal who keep saying they're not gonna roll with the creature. It seems tho I need full 4-member roster to start the next quest. Wtf am I supposed to do? I can't just skip a week can I?
Generally it's best not to spend too much money on your team initially. Put a few upgrades into the stage coach to get more heroes each week, then send a group of green recruits into a dungeon, try to grab as much loot as you can and if your chars are stressed out, just dismiss them instead of wasting money on de-stressing them.
True, but the game is not really that much of an RPG.
Another important thing for making money are the curios in the dungeons. With the right items (e.g. keys for locked chests) they can greatly increase your loot, so it's usually an advantage to spend some money on certain provisions.
Look, people going full retard. Yawn.
Oh and how is the cannon hard again? You kill an enemy who dies in one hit from absolutely everything, and then the boss never ever attacks you, it just spawns trash mobs which you can farm for loot if you want.
