Early PoE had a bunch of these, including lvl 3 boss that murdered most of new players.Man, if Diablo IV will be a decent ARPG and wont follow Diablo Immoral footsteps and fucking paywall the main game loop, I dunno. I just wish those ARPGs stopped with this nonsense of making you go through 30hs of banal tutorial difficulty nonsense before the real game actually start, I always end burned out LONG before I reach the real game, the end game, you pass through 30 hs of the difficulty being a joke and the story on those games usually is worse than the plot of a porn movie so I cant even count on that to keep me awake until the end and you have fanboys defending that shit as if trudging through boring nonsense was a mark of value.
Only ARPGs I managed to truly enjoy on the last few years was Grim Dawn and Last Epoch that at least had unique gimmicks to distract you until you find the first enemies that can actually kill you. Man, even something simple like having a bossfight at level 3 with high chances of actually killing you would be an improvement... hey, when it was the last time that happened on a ARPG? Yeah, Diablo I.
I was more afraid of disconnects than any enemy of PoE until the second half of Act 4 where things start ramping up, Act 2 and Act 3 were the worst with their undead, monkey and bandit spam that almost made me quit of boredom. Act 1 wasnt that bad as Brutus and Maiven were decent enough bosses for a tutorial but things go downhill fast as you unlock gems and get used to the mechanics of the game and there is a big lull until Act 4 start ramping up that is mind numbing boring, specially if you are using ranged builds.Early PoE had a bunch of these, including lvl 3 boss that murdered most of new players.
This sounds like you played after they nerfed these bosses. At same time Merveil was basically death sentence if you tried to fight her without having a lot of cold resistance and Act 2 boss was easily murdering solo players and groups. Those rocks that would fall out of ceiling could one shot characters without some kind of physical resistance.I was more afraid of disconnects than any enemy of PoE until the second half of Act 4 where things start ramping up, Act 2 and Act 3 were the worst with their undead, monkey and bandit spam that almost made me quit of boredom. Of course, PoE isnt the only ARPG guilty of this. Really wish those games allowed you to ramp up difficulty on the fly.
Necro gear trailer. They are definitely getting it right when it comes to art style.
D3 zoom is leagues of slower than POE zoom.
you know in your heart it wont beI hope to have story campaign offline as it should have been.
Modern POE is just one big zoom fest. I hate zooming. Moreover you don't have choice to not zoom, if you don't zoom you die, if you don't zoom stuff like temples is impossible to do and so on. So for me modern POE is worse than release D3. I started POE back in closed beta i fucking loved it back then and loved it up to 2.0 when they decided to just give up and doubled amount of monsters per map effectively killing any kind of melee that is not shooting some stuff. Since then game was mediacore but alas i invested some time in it and still found it fun. When breach happened it was still pretty slow game but since breach every new expansion ramped up speed and by the time 3.0 hit it was already so fast that i didn't find it mediacore. IT was straight up shite. I still snuffed that copium thinking maybe i am playing wrong so i started to zoom like everyone else and yup shite is shite.
There was nothing good about playing 1 button zoomer collecting currency loot in order to sell them on market because chance of finding any good loot that could help your build was practically 0. So what was the point of playing game anymore ?
I recently played D2 Resurection which is just D2 old gameplay + new graphics and it was sooo much better than POE. You can see things, there is tactical gameplay, nothing dies because you see it, loot actually fucking matters, rares are actually rares and so on.
I also finished D1 a year back and even there with even slower gameplay than D2 you can see how fun it is. Loot is much simpler but much more powerful as stupid blue item can give you shitload of boost.

The reason why i am/was certain about D4 being good is that lead dev behind it wrote a lot about D4 creation and essential line is:
D1 theme + D2 gameplay + D3 smoothness
And you can see it in every trailer. Theme wise game is much darker than D2 and especially D3, aka D1. Gameplaywise it looks straight up D2 way of doing skills. And all of that combat is smooth as butter like in D3.
Obviously this is Blizzard and there is plenty of ways for them to fuck shit up like with adding shitload of monetization into game so who knows what it will be in the end but so far as i have seen D4 seems to major incline.
To see how bad POE has gotten I looked up a recent gameplay video and holy fuck the game looks like it's not even fun to play. Everything dies as soon as you see it.
Can you actually play a proper melee build? I mean you have a sword, you go up to mob, you whack it dead. No insane 400 effects going off at once and killing the entire screen in a second.
Great post, but itemization in Diablo 4 is fucking ass, so don't get your hopes up too much.

Most likely, system is already implemented in D3.Are they going to do dynamic level scaling?
It means every "D3 like" season will come with new shop refill.Supported for years to come: lol. Yeah right. By "supported" they mean they'll keep the servers on.

you will buy it
What's your beef with ITS, man? Stop being a fag and buy some incline.sure
i literally bought 2 games since oblivion came out
underrail and grimoire
if you spell everything in trailer backwards, you'd get an interesting game.
"no open world. game is pretty linear, but that means there are no fake choices, repetetive content and what you get is actually solid."
"your only choice as player is to survive through or good riddance."
"brings back dread and lonileness and no nonsense of old rogue games without any shitty new modern features"
"you get 3 different sprites to play cause fuck you. the rogue girl with bow is really hot tho.""
"we don't have 150 dungeons in game, we have one/dozen maybe. but we actually put effort into making all of them bloody good"
"there is minimum required of storyfaggotry dialogue or cutscenes and events"
"the only social experience you ll get is goatdemons ramming ur ass when you die"
"PC only. what, don't you have a PC?"
"the game actually has a real ending. we're not interested in wasting your time. also we want to make other new cool games dammit."
