The very same god-damn mechanics that you use for party-based gameplay are also valid for co-op, which happens to be... party-based gameplay. If you can't get that, then you are a retard. GTFO.

Partially true. But it doesn't solve itself everything. Like handling talking to people, making choices, doing things in different order and the more open game is the more problems it creates. Like famous "Gather your party" voice. In older games if there was co-op it was handled mostly by creating one player which would be DM like figure handling all choices.

MMO naturally have co-op in place as standard feature but they have butchered content for it.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone in this forum that likes Larian a lot, I like this game of theirs. I feel this might be the first Larian game I will sincerely try to play as long as I can.
But this is basically the final post regarding co-op issue that I felt is over-hyped and everyone seem so defensive about.
Promise. No more. After this.

Originally Mr Vincke Says:
You have to make sure that whatever storytelling you're trying to do it will work no matter what the players are going to do.
Say that you have PetPal, for instance, which lets you talk to animals. And you're trying to find a murderer, so you talk to Murphy, a dog.

Say that you [playing co-op] and I am your other player and I've killed Murphy—just because the dog is annoying me. The game has to be able to handle that and allow you to continue [the quest]. The fact that we had to do that actually makes the single-player much stronger, because all that freedom that you get in single-player for a large part is inspired by the multiplayer part, because we had to cater for it.

Marketing speak removed:

And that's that.

Also, there is now enough reviews on metacritic to sort of say that the score will just over at 86 unless IGN/Gamespot arrive and review it as a 50.

They sucked their own dicks, fingered their own assholes, and ate their own shit.
Unlike Obsidian doing New Vegas in a dirty alley while their pimp stand there watching in a gold plated purple sedan.

They're really butthurt though when they had to box their own shit.
They said never again. Those poop are so hard to shovel with their bare hands, and every country governing body had to sniff it first to get it localized and safe for locale consumption.

Yeah and make this into a gud sub-based MMO.
With online server to host their games.
Cheaper and revenue generating.
Can sell appearance DLC and Dyes.
And Armor sets.
Since it's single player co-op no one has a right to complain.
This isn't PVP mate.

On a more serious note: Ranged needs buff lah.
Crossbow - does double damage but slower to shoot..
yet when I think about it - it should have a fast , low AP First Shot.
Pre-loading a Crossbow is natural when you're outside city.
Hell, you're looking for trouble - so why the hell not?
Also Excidium mentioned reloading as a separate action - why the hell not really?
People say more differentiation is good too...

JarlFrank Crossbow: Shorter Ranger, Higher Accuracy, Higher Reload AP

It makes sense to me. Hope Larian look into it. Cause right now, mage is turning battleground into their own playground. Kinda unable to ignore those positional magic having great utility.

Saw that review earlier, it's the positive version of the Cheat Central review: pre-alpha screenshots from Larian, mostly just mention of google-able features, acting as if Cyseal is only town in game, et cetera, just praising it vaguely instead of tearing it a new one vaguely.

Playing games you "review" is so passe, who has time for that shit?

Codex 2014 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Serpent in the Staglands Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
But they gave it 95 and got it counted into the One Score to Rule Them All.

So i started new game trying to see how rogue|geomancer with bully fighter combo work i got to first tutorial dungeon. Got to this fight with this dude in armor.

Instead of waiting for him to start talking i just attacked him as he landed his foot on ground. He had just one line of text about making food or something of me.

BUT he didn't raise those two skeletons. Neat. Looks like i didn't leave him time for summoning them.

Just DOS little things.

Yeah, it's pretty much exactly the 'positive version of Cheat Central Review'. Fucking people who just can't even be assed to even look at the screenshots they take.
