I wish there was transparency behind the roleplay choices that give stat bonuses. Just add [bold] etc, in front of the option, same with relationship, oftentimes can't tell what's supposed to give a bonus and what isn't, as well as a lot of the personality quirks I get not really coming through in dialogue. Reloaded a few times because of a lot of them not really being what I thought they would be.

Call it casual streamlining or w/e, but for me it just saves time, who would gimp their build because the buffs are oftentimes behind ambiguous checks?

or you could just, y'know, roleplay what your character would do in that situation without worrying about the behind the scenes bonuses...
Lol, RPing my character includes maxing out their stats in a way that suits them, not having the game tell me that I'm a sneak thief craftsman because I had a conversation with someone.
So no, that solves nothing, but thanks for the suggestion.

That sounds suspiciously like DA2
That sounds suspiciously like a strawman.

You should be able to deduce which personality stat gets modified from reading the answers. They're pretty straightforward.

Ran into a funny glitch when I resurrected one of my characters: he came back as a disembodied suit of armor gliding over the ground. Pretty creepy actually.

Does anyone have a list of the locations of all the skill vendors?

So it is possible to beat the game with two lonewolves? Or is everyone still midgame ?
I dislike large parties so Im considering making two. One sword and board druid with geo/man-at-arms/pet pal and one twohander deathknight, witchcraft/man-at-arms/leech.
If only the male voices sounded more badass...

Playing 3 member party with one lone wolf
And one full party with one non combat character (No combat skills, mostly points in perception.)

Somehow the full party is still having an easier time.

That's generally how it works in RPG's, having more partymembers is exponentially more useful, much more than having better stats.

You could argue that 4 members have better stats than 3 members, more total AP, more skillpoints, more racked up bonuses from gear, etc. So yeah, its clearly better to have more people, the experience you get is the same anyway.

Your companions/mercenaries can learn summon spells as well Arkeus. Ice elemental on Jahan is gud. Or drop a point in earth or fire magic on him and get a spider or fire elemental. (Plus fortify or wildfire. Because they're Awesome)
Yes, my Jahan has Summon Ice Elemental too- but i thought the numbers of summon were limited to 2, regardless of who summoned them. So if Jahan and my Pyromancer summon elementals, my geomancer cannot summon a spider without cancelling one of their summons.

Was i wrong?

LOL at the statue parodying the Ultima-speak  "Woulde thee liketh to see the end of thine adventure, mortal?"

And then the credits roll, lol.

Crooked Bee Yeah the combat is insanely fun. Blackguards has great combat too and it is more polished right now, but here you can more options right from the get go. I only wish we could generate a full party of even 4 pcs, instead of 6 right from the get go. I just don't understand why they did not do this, when the engine and game can easily handle it. I think it is because they were obsessed with the duo co op play.

Anyhow I am running into a problem. I cannot find the whirlwind attack Man At Arms skill book. Aerus doesn't have it in stock. I knew I should have chosen that at startup, but instead went with Melee Power Stance for roleplay reasons. :( Is there anyway to get that skill book in Cyreal? When do vendors/Aerus restock?

And due to the whack nature of this game's economy, is there anyone not resorting to stealing to make money? It's painful as I don't want to larp a thief, but I have no choice. :(

According to the developer Larian 4 large areas similar to the size and content of the entire map of Cyseal and surrounding area, plus 6 smaller areas, and apparently one large multilevel dungeon.

Well, even larger than i thought.

You only get Dust Devil at start up- and Aurus restocks every time you gain a level. I am /pretty sure/ he actually restocks next time you speak to him after you gain a level, which means that you can save just before and play save/load shenanigans.

Also, huh, there are other merchants that sell men-at-arms books in the first map, though not as much as Aurus.

Bartering and looting everything that's not stealng nets you quite a lot of money.

And a soundtrack and stuff. Also, I'm actually able to download the game now which was not the case a couple of hours ago.

I had downloaded the game two days ago already. It took a few attempts though. Lots of checksum errors.

Yes, GOG had originally messed up the download links but the files were there, had to manually adjust the address.

Here is my original screenshot of my GOG download starting in this thread.
On release the GOG downloader worked, those using the direct download links got 404 errors unless they amended the link. Anyway, all working now.

I would be cool if i could create my chars with min stats. You know starting from 0 that kind of thing. There is message blocking you from leaving char cust menu.

Also it would be cool idea to have proper customization of skills/atributes. I mean for example creating dude who has inteligence of 1 :D Mincs like character.

Also i can't wait for mods altering talents or adding them. Can't wait for obvious cannibal mod which will add human meat to every killed character + crispy meat if you killed char with fire and canibalism talent + optional quest for that.

But it is still the original, unpatched version. Downloaded just now. Goddammit.

Edit. SCRATCH THAT! They just added a separate patcher to GOG in this moment! YYYEEEEAAAHHH!

Edit: FUUUUCKCK! The patcher is not working, it says one file is not correct. Great.

i've got the opposite issue. got so much cash on hand and an inventory full of even more shit to sell, and nothing really worthwhile to spend it on. i'd like if there were a few super expensive unique items around to buy.
