I unlocked the hall of heroes and I have a question: Should I take the Henchmen or stick with Mandora and Jahan? Aside from rplay reasons ( Mandora and Jahan stuck with me for hours) the henchmen appear flavorless. And they start off at level 1 (this could be a bug though) M & J also have unique dialogues and comments in certain situations.

Will I meet other companions like M & J later on, or is it only the henchmen?

No other companions atm, as far as I know. I'm rolling with henchmen, since M & J don't fit into my party at all (my henchmen are a Marksman + a Witch).

As for starting at level 1, I assume that's a bug. Dismiss them, and re-hire them again - they should gain the exp to match yours, then, and you will be able to distribute their skill/attribute points however you want.

And yeah - not sure about creating 4 characters at the beginning, but they should've allowed you to customize the henchmen as you hire them. The min-maxer in me is weeping, for sure. :M

Larian is going to have to pay for my new glasses. Their "find a wee tiny switch on a wall" is driving me mad.

Bitch, my PER is great, additionally I have +2 to traps and sekrits from a talent, +2 from my weapon and +2 from Burn My Eyes spell. You still have to search for that shit manually.

Keep looking around in there....

Offtopic but Jaesun, your sheep avatar was really cute. Why change it?

Crooked Bee SuicideBunny : Another thing, is there any advantage to becoming a Bellagueirna (sp)? The mage you
rescue from the demons
gives your female a choice to be his concubine or something. Obviously my Paladin holy warrior babe said no and almost skewered him on the spot. Hope I don't miss out on some uber spells later on. (and is there any negative effect if I kill the mage? He is level 15 but I think I can take him down with my party)

Wait, you can either choose pregenerated characters with shitty builds or make your own henchmen? :/

Damn. The munchkin in me will be fighting for days on end with my desire to see content...

I would like if they would allow 6 character party- 4 heroes and 2 henchmen. Reduce by one henchmen for each lone wolf. (because lone wolf is too bad ass and his henchmen counts as heroes, thus lone wolf has only heroes as his companions)
It looks to me like it's balanced for 6 man normal parties, or for 2 lone wolves and two normal heroes. That turn based combat definitelly allows control of 6 characters without problems.

The pregenerated characters (= companions, of which there are two atm) are supposedly pretty good if they fit your existing party. For me, they didn't, so I went with henchmen (who don't have any dialogue). However, you cannot customize your henchmen entirely, which isn't that bad gameplay-wise actually, but I would prefer it if you could... because you know, MIN-MAXING!! (Unhealthy, I know.)

The content you get is 99% the same anyway. Don't bother. It's just some flavor dialogue from your companions, from what I know.

Another thing, is there any advantage to becoming a Bellagueirna (sp)? The mage you

Well, he thought my female char was actually a male so I didn't get that choice at all :M

Not sure if random bug in dialogue but my waifu ranger with Perception 10 can see modifiers for persuasion in dialogue. After line it writes +1 or -1 depending on what line is better to use with NPC.

conclusion:
while playing D:OS, I fall in love with one of the most dynamic gameplay I've been exposed ina RPG.This game, it's some discover, some exploration, intereactivity and absolute experimentation with an incredible feeling of freedom on how to live the game.
With a huge RP capacity, when playing this original sin, I had a real pleasure to explore every places of the world, to complete all the quests I unlocked and to fight.
Moreover, the omnipresent humor and writing quality are there to create an unforgettable experience of a pur enjoyable moment

:salute:

edit:
Larian is going to have to pay for my new glasses. Their "find a wee tiny switch on a wall" is driving me mad.
Inquisitor is even worst than Serpent Isle

Don't you get one free level of that perk that allows you to talk to animals for free in the beginning?

I split the difference and went with one lone wolf character. Finding a single additional useful party member is easier than finding two. I'm also playing a relatively low magic party on hard, because that's how I roll. :obviously::obviously::obviously::oops::oops:

How does D:OS co-op mode works?
Does it work with direct IP addresses? Use Larian servers? Or is it Steam only?

please quote or tag me in your reply

High perception allows that.

"By the Larian Studios, Divinity is a return to origins, a return to that combination of camera from above and turn-based combat that characterizes most of the great classics of Western-style RPG. A formula which, among other things, allows you to create great games with a tight budget and this is precisely the case of Divinity: Original Sin, a title not funded by a publisher but going from crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. But the value of production is noticeably superior to that million dollar touched by the campaign financing. There are, it is true, spectacular films or dubbing complete but the technical sector, say it now, because it is delicious and content is little to complain about. Let's start with the latter, the heart of every self-respecting role-playing game, groped to frame the new effort Larian Studios."
Source in italian. (Google TranslateTM)

They gave it a 9, that's as good as it can get in the mainstream, I guess.

Easy is probasbly your best bet, that feels like normal in most other games. It's a lot more rewarding on normal though.

But Easy is definitely no pushove.rf
