Forgot about that, bought early access on Desura years back, might be before the kickstarter? Anyway, never really played it.

You can argue all the others, but I'd say Xenonauts delivered exactly what they promised. Game plays like a polished version of X-COM, almost 1:1. Darth Roxor is way better than me probs, he can dismiss/ackknowledge that opinion I'm sure. I basically suck at the game :M

Playing in hard is nice because I don't feel bad for using every dirty trick that comes to mind.

I made a horrible mistake and read some reviews of DOS from steam users.
Short story: DOS is a lot like Baldur's Gate + Skyrim. And it's nothing like Ultima 7 or ToEE.
I weep every day.

While i am here , found 2 game breaking bug in act 2 . Dont do the immaculate trial quest before the white witch quest, and when in mines be careful to get a message after destroying the bone totem.

Also i am sad they forgot my real name in backer list i wanted to show it to my little nephew so he can be proud of his uncle at least once.....

Not sure if random bug in dialogue but my waifu ranger with Perception 10 can see modifiers for persuasion in dialogue. After line it writes +1 or -1 depending on what line is better to use with NPC.

It seems I have to restart. Both my chars have low perception, which kinda sucks because this stat is quite useful. Frigging skeleton archers are slaughtering my party from the distance, and my 'ranger' cannot even hit them - I have to use summons to get to the bastards.

Kinda wonder if I should start at easy or normal, when I dislike reloading.

I think most people have trouble with difficulty because they haven't played beta. If you have some metagaming knowledge, then normal feels alright or even easy...

Murder investigation/boss spoilers.

Am I the only one that found Evelyn nigh-impossible? Maybe my party just sucks dick but she and her summons utterly buttfucked my group. They CC'd the fuck out of me, my CC failed more often than not, and half the enemies summoned explode when they die so you just eat a never ending stream of damage. I actually ended up beating her by essentially breaking the game -- casting a wall of ice around her before she ever even starts her dialogue (thus, it never happened), and then beating her up. She never brought in her allies, so I just wailed on her more or less free of charge. After that, I'm just kinda wandering around.

My two main heroes are pretty godawful and my two companions are just alright. My primary qualm with combat is how insanely powerful the poison cloud + fire explosions are. Enemies that strike you with poison arrows, and then throw a fireball into it just wreck everything. You eat poison damage, explosive damage, and then burning damage all consecutively. On the other hand, giving my character "Leech" makes him autoheal to full health whenever an enemy mistakenly "bleeds" him.

I'm still not 100% on how spells work. Do I need to be leveling up the skills to use higher-tier spells? Or can I just get away with Level 1, say, Pyromancy, and have access to all the Pyro spells, but am only able to select three?

So, is this game gonna be released on physical discs in stores? I'm not paying $50 for internet only copy.

The mines in the second area are a little bullshit.

I spent 20 minutes luring and teleporting the death knights into the prison chamber just for them to teleport right back behind my party as soon as I got out of combat range. They then proceeded to fuck me up. :(

On the other hand, BG + Skyrim sells the game to Steam users way better than U7 + ToEE would, so i wouldn't complain about that. ;)

Eh, if that means they dig it and buy it, I'm for it.

Got a derpy moment at The Troll's Bounty quest.

Cannot get past the stoned troll and his stoned gold. Tried dispeling but can't target that troll, can't throw pyramids behind it either :( Halp!

But their money is wrong.
Got a derpy moment at The Troll's Bounty quest.
Gotta get one of Mundus' (?) sekrit texts in which he talks about it but I cannot find the place this text mentions.

Nah, worse come to worse just respec, but you should be finding enough +perception stuff to at least make things possible.

She never brought in her allies, so I just wailed on her more or less free of charge. After that, I'm just kinda wandering around.
For me, CC worked perfectly (i knocked her down with crushing fist, then when she came back her i stunned her with blitz bolt (she was wet), and then froze her for the lulz. The lieutenant was slightly more annoying because he regenerated from fire and was on a fire surface that prevented teleport, so i had to kill him in one turn.

I'm still not 100% on how spells work. Do I need to be leveling up the skills to use higher-tier spells? Or can I just get away with Level 1, say, Pyromancy, and have access to all the Pyro spells, but am only able to select three?
That, and cost of higher-level spells will be like 20AP instead of 5.

Also i am sad they forgot my real name in backer list i wanted to show it to my little nephew so he can be proud of his uncle at least once.....
This seem like the kind of thing you could contact Larian for (though they will probably only change it when they aren't swamped), i am getting the impression they like that kind of stuff.

This game is an absolute piece of ♥♥♥♥ the only good part is the part that was in the BETA. After that you get to a point where you have killed everything and the moment you get stuck there is ♥♥♥♥ all for you to do. You can't farm till you are a high enough level cause nothing respawns and you can't proceed to the next part cause thats even more difficult. It doesn't get more difficult in a clever way noooo what happens is the enemys simply become so ♥♥♥♥ing strong that they have massive amounts of powers, action points and become resistant to virtualy everything that the only way to kill them is to know what they are in advance and build your character around it or just get really lucky. thats the crux of this game luck, i was stuck on a part for ages tand the only way i beat it was constantly retrying until the random number generator that this game runs on decided it was time for me to win.

Expected it to be more like diablo. Sincerely dissapointed.

Very little voice acting, non-stop reading, with an uninteresting story. Fighters and Rogues seem almost useless and combat is fairly difficult due to the ratio of enemies. Journal isn't very helpful in keeping track of tasks, no map icons for quests. It's a very complicated game that doesn't need to be that complicated. Traps are annoying, especially when you can see the trap but your party pretends like they are not even there and walk right over them.

So, before...
...joining the immaculates, we should try to get the barrier around Witch's house down? Hints in game made it sound like we should join them and then get some info on White Witch...
