If I go to the tab on their character sheets with their "personality traits", ie. romantic, obedient, altruistic, etc. it is just blank now.

That is extremely weird, I have played many times with people in co-op where we were both lone wolf, and it never affected dialogue. Sounds like either a bug, an interface error that requires a reload, or dual dialogues turned off in options. Probably a bug if you have eliminated other possibilities.

Yeah, I double checked just now and dial dialogs was still enabled.

Both my starting characters were long wolfs. I will try it again right now.

Must have just been a bug. I started over with two new characters, all I changed was a talent on each one to pick up lone wolf. I ran in real quick to get the book from the jumper's corpse, read it, and got the conversation which then worked.

No biggie! Still, I wonder if starting over with two lone wolves is a good idea or if I will get steam rolled later.

If you just started the game, you wouldn't have any dialogue traits because they haven't established themselves yet. Apologies if I'm misunderstanding, and that still sounds like a bug if dialogues aren't triggering.

That or picked loyal AI?

Loyal AI should still have dialogue traits.

I get that, for some reason I was playing - and at first I hadn't noticed that I wasn't getting the conversation exclamation points. It was either a bug or a user error.

All good now.

Two lone wolves is the highest difficulty toggle outside of chipping it up to Hard--maybe even harder than that. You can ameliorate it with Glass Cannon which is a brokenly good trait that I hope gets either changed or removed, but it will be considerably harder than one lone wolf or even a full party.

FYI that's not Serpent Isle. It's the first Dark Sun.
I was wondering where Shamino and Dupre were when I took that screenshot. No fucking shit, I'm not going to to play serpent isle for 15 hours so I can find a dungeon with a camouflaged 4x4x pixel gray button on a gray wall just so I can post a picture of it here
I made a horrible mistake and read some reviews of DOS from steam users.
Short story: DOS is a lot like Baldur's Gate + Skyrim. And it's nothing like Ultima 7 or ToEE.
I weep every day.
It's hard to browse any kind of gaming related site, forum or video that's not very obscure these days because you can guarantee that you'll feel pissed for the rest of the day and/or spend 2-4 hours educating morons for nothing. Fuck this decade

I had to restart my lonewolf combo, double man-at-arms and no elemental damage can only get you so far. Had to use everything in my inventory in every fight past lvl 5, and then scour the town to restock on potions and scrolls before venturing forth... :negative:
Ill leave that level of difficulty for a second playthrough.

Remember to steal wash basins, they sell for 10 coins each.
:argh:

Some clothes I stole didn't even have an icon and sold for 1 coin only!At this rate I'm not leaving Cyseal anytime soon.
I remember on my first game-start (I'm calling it this since I've restarted like 3 times before venturing far beyond any of the gates) looking around at all the shit in town and thinking that playing a thief would be incredibly fun. More games should pay this much attention to mechanics and item placement.

I wish I felt this way. Invisibility not breaking on theft + spells breaking down all doors/chests 4eva made me wish thieves were better.

Off topic, but in terms of theoretical game design, I have a hard time imagining thieving "done right" in an RPG that allows multiple archetypes. How do you allow a thief to accrue massively more wealth without that unbalancing the game? So it's mostly fine here that everyone can steal if they want to try.

Probably some balance of expensive items having known ownership (e.g. paintings, have to find specialized art fence who can move the painting to private collector even if you don't model it past the fence) and diminishing returns for merchants--e.g. do I as a merchant REALLY need that 99th teacup even if its only one gold and my resale price is 5 gold?

It would've indeed been better if the prices matched the NPCs interest in the said loot. I actually compared the offers across several NPCs before selling my loot for the first time.

But it's inconvenient and tedious if I can't sell all the rat guts and goblin skulls I've picked up to the nearest jeweler or blacksmith.

The trial-and-error puzzle at the Chamber of Burden is extremely disappointing. Why would they think anyone wanted this? I used the barrel and the book on the appropriate switches, but what do I need for the other two?

I found
the doctor's hidden hut in the north east
and my characters said they need to confront him, but he isn't in town. I'd assume but there's no mention of his fleeing or ability to report him to the guard captain. Was there supposed to be?

Also I couldn't find the dog after killing the wolves for him, and I'm pretty sure he survived. Where did he go?

He shows up later, keep progressing through the game.

I started the Game with a friend of mine and we had a little problem at the beginning.
The murder mystery at the point where you may discover that the body is missing. I did that via reading the journal int he morgue and confronting roberts who admitted that the body was stolen and gave me his suspects. But the Boss of the legion would not talk to me about my suspicions until I actually dug up the grave.
Is that a Bug or did I do something wrong?

Night Goat I assumed that was the case, but I expected some minimal level of acknowledgement (like some note he forgot at his house I somehow missed or more of my characters noting it) after the blatant command to confront him.

Combat is a lot easier after I got higher level spells. Opening with a lesser fireball, being able to quickly block off passages with flaming tiles. Ran into the skeleton baron and it showed me I'm still not all powerful though.

I don't think I even talked to the guy but I got to the next step in the quest anyway.
