I have no idea how it plays, but it looks like stale vomit. I think my eyes will start bleeding after an hour of looking at this:

Nigga please, the first music in the game right when you start the game is 3 notes and I mean literally 3 notes.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
That's a fair point. But the atmosphere the sprites and music produce is actually pretty great, if you want to.
I love Codex grognard shit, love old-school turn-based RPGs, don't give a shit about muh graphix.

But I could NOT for the life of me get into Underrail. IIRC the turn-based combat with a single character felt p. lame and pointless, exploration or story didn't grab me at all and the whole thing felt like catnip for autistic character builders and minmaxers. Which is legit ofc but not my thing.

I enjoyed it for a good long while - Steam is telling me about 30 hours - but the incredibly slow walking speed finally broke me, just trudging from map to map, particularly if you had loot to unload. From what I recall, Styg was extremely dead set on anything resembling QoL.

I hear he may have finally moved and it's a little smoother at this point, so might be worth another look. I'd probably switch out of the oddity system if I could, though I doubt that's been added - I need my murderhobo dopamine fix and having to check every drawer made the leadfoot wandering all the worse.

Really admirable achievement, just after a while its design and my tastes parted ways.

I bounced off of underrail at launch pretty hard. Picked it back up about 2 weeks ago and suddenly have almost 50 hours in.

Definitely one of the better games to come out in the past 10 years, it's a shame I missed out on enjoying it 10 years ago but it's a god damned treat. Not sure about the bellyache about the sounds, they are so damn good when in the tunnels, reverb, bats, the mechanical sounds in ruins etc. Music is super loud at launch but there are fuckin sliders.

Oh yeah, veilguard. It's designed by, and for, people who like man ass.
