I'm not exactly sure how, but my spirit bell seems to somehow have disappeared meaning I can't summon spirits (the NPC companions such as the wolf pack, haven't tried actually summoning players yet) anymore.
Any idea what's happened? Did I somehow miss it being a limited use item or something?

Edit: Apparently it's a known bug, restarting the game made the item reappear in my inventory

Yeah, push the stick in.

But come on man, am I the only one playing this on keyboard and mouse and enjoying the controls?

I mean, I did play ALL previous Souls games on m+kbd, and Sekiro too, but it just works fine and I can turn around much faster...

I tried to play DS1 with k+m at the beginning, but I quickly gave up.

And I play almost every game with k+m.

The controls for ER are ATROCIOUS, which is weird as Sekiro's were quite fluid

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Loving the game so far, especially how you p. much have to do some side content to reasonably take on main bosses. O loathe when you can just waltz through the MQ chain in RPGs, blissfully ignoring everything else.

Unfortunately FS haven't gotten the memo about bonfire spacing in DS3 and the game is littered with those fucking graces again. And if that wasn't enough there are those revive totems everywhere. Goddamn Miyazaki.

Btw bros any reports what the covenants and NG+ are like?

The worst thing is having to press Y + LB + RB to two-hand a weapon. What kind of moron came up with that?! They also changed activate to Y (which no game ever uses), but that's understandable since A is jump.

How's the armor system? Is it still Fashion Souls like Dark Souls 3 or is armor actually useful again? Also, poise?

Played for exactly 100 minutes until it crashed. Initial, loose thoughts.

- Reminds me very much of Dark Souls 3, which is a game I like.
- The open-world aspect feels kind of unnecessary. Dark Souls was already open world but with verticality and thought.
- Crafting seems to be as bad an idea as I thought it would be.
- Stuttering happened occasionally, not too bad.
- Just got the horse, have not tested it out yet.

I kind of went my own way, instead of heading towards the castle, as the game suggested. I've been facing mostly goblins and bats. And a guy on a horse. Just before the crash I fought a bear (or a weak dude who turns into a tough as nails bear).

I'm really curious about this part. I never use items on souls games because of an uncontrolllable fear of needing something and not having it available. I thought that with crafting this would change but I didn't even mess with the crafting menu. I hope it becomes useful later because I've been gathering a lot of crafting materials.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Played like 6 hours today, Jellyfish spits in the face of some bosses, fucker is tanky af and poisons. Spirits are not as bad as I thought, they are not an auto win button, but you can use them to kill bosses way earlier than you are supposed to.

They absolutely have.
Fuck you on about, first boss is stamping in everyone's head and exploration's great, filled with hidden nooks and crannies
You can even go the whole game without leveling (actually implemented as a game mechanic, not just a self imposed challenge) if you want the xtra difficulty

Stop being TORtanic faggots

just like in every other soulsborne game
in terms of difficulty Elden Ring is slightly above Demon's Souls
the good thing is you can disable Easy Anti Cheat and run the game offline, which will be amazing once mods come in making the game an actual challenge
i am wiping bosses down one after another, and some of the time not even dying, very un-souls like, and all I am doing is using melee, nothing else

Project: Eternity Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pathfinder: Kingmaker
Played for like two hours, haven't read thread.
I did experience technical issues (first a bunch of black bars, which fixed after updating drivers), and then a crash (perhaps from high graphics settings?).
Then I lowered my settings (I have a GTX 970, so below minimum requirement), and no crashes so far. The game does drop a few frames occasionally but it's perfectly playable, even when zooming around the overworld on horseback.

As for the game itself, it really feels like fromsoft is phoning it in a bit. Arise ashentarnished one, the lordsoulelden ring has been fractured and you are fated to put it back together. Here, have a waifu to help you level up. Except this time the intro cinematic is just a few pieces of static artwork with lots of bloom.

But, even a mediocre phoning it in fromsoft is still a company that makes a pretty decent game.
