Got stuck at the Draconic Tree Sentinel boss who guards the access to the capital Leyndell and finally caved in and decided to summon some bros for the first time.
  1. Summoned the first guy, we start wailing on the boss when suddenly I just drop dead. Camera pans behind me to reveal an invader who must have magicked me to death.
  2. Second attempt, really beefy looking guy, I let him face tank the boss while I pew pew some lightning bolts from afar. His health is steadily dropping (very slowly though, he must have been really overlevelled) and he just refuses to heal, he just stands there, poising through the boss attacks and trading hits with him until he dies. I'm just left staring at the screen wondering WTF just happened before I die too.
  3. Took a break, came back the next day, killed him on the first try of the day.

TLDR: Even summon bros are telling me to GIT GUD.

I thus rate summons :4/5: out of :5/5:, would not summon again though.

I discovered again some new huge location with roots of trees. I mean at that point i am pretty sure when it comes to content game is bigger than all 3 DS games combined and then some. Now if this was betsheda content i would moan because it is copy pasted shit but here everything seems unique. Yeah there are some assets reuse but they are all mixed or "expanded" to the point that you just don't care.

By far the most favorite part of game for me is those small grave dungeons. They remind me chalice dungeons from BB but good.

I wouldn't mind if From made whole souls game based on idea of going deeper and deeper into dungeon.

Your second friend was a NPC made by FROM. Just letting you know.

Don't use any Soreseal talismans. It's probably the main reason why many people - including myself - had difficulty with some bosses.

On the wiki it says that it increases damage with 15% but I think it's wrong: the decrease in resistances is much higher than 15% -> it's more like 40%.

Well shit, I'm using 2 of them I think, the greater versions of them. Oh well.

Any tips on Maliketh? Bastard is too fast for my strength build with collosal weapon and greatshield. I don't wan't to respec again just for this boss. My mimic +10 can survive for about 20 seconds so he is basically useless. I've tried to summon other players, but they suck even more.

Radagon's reduced my physical defenses by 5% while Marika's reduced them by a whole 10%. I got good use out of the former but instantly dropped the latter.

Maybe you used weaker version of Radagon talisman?

I saw a theory that Malenia was what Tomoe was supposed to be in Sekiro's DLC and can't get in out of my head, it makes too much sense. Cloud move (or whatever it's called, that crazy flurry of attacks), healing on hit, all that jazz would actually work very well in Sekiro. Either you would be able to parry her perfectly and constantly, or she would out-heal you all the time.

Well it's kind of a From thing by now that what gets cut in one game, appears in DLC or next game. Zullie the witch has videos on it and Lance as well I think.

Yeah more like half. You can easily see it stat tab. Definitely not worth it for the +5 to stats or whatever.

Also most people use the Godrick's rune for the stats but Morgott's rune is the best, it's like +500 extra HP when you pop the arc.

I found a killer ass farming spot. Start at the Haligtree Canopy grace site and there's six of those flute playing marshmallow people all in very close proximity. Each one gives you 1653 runes. After I kill them I drop down to where the bigger guy is and kill him for about 3000 runes. Rince and repeat. The whole process takes about less than 2 minutes. So every 2 minutes or less you're getting 12,915 runes. Not bad at all.

Hello,

here's a couple tips I learned yesterday when it comes to coop with friends I WISH someone wrote somewhere before I had to test: you CANNOT summon a friend to a place where you already killed the boss. His sign won't show for you. In order to trade/mule/whatever you need to go to a place where the host's boss is ALIVE. You also won't be able to see any weapon dropped that is better than your best weapon. So no "twinking", you can give your new character a boss weapon, but it must be at a + level bellow what you already have. Oh and invaders can and will steal the stuff you drop, so be quick about it.

Another thing: I think Golden Parry is sleeper OP. I put it on a MEDIUM shield and humiliated Margit with it. I think GP has the same frame data, regardless of shield size. Could be wrong, but I don't think I could've parried Margit that consistently otherwise.

Afaik the best farming spot is in the approach to the blood swamp in the Mogh's area, killing those entranced Albinaurics. It's best achieved with the Sacred Sword or the Sword of Night and Flame. Blasphemous is also ok.

You get twice as much for half the time.

Damn that is a good spot. I didn't realise those things give you 2k runes.

Which weapon are you using? I completed the game with a pure STR character and didn't have that many problems with Maliketh. I used Grafted Greatsword against him. Specifically the roll into stab attack. You can't go for more than 1 attack after dodging. And I used ocassional jumping attack. No summons used.

Well, Miyazaki trolled me yet again. I got to the Vulcano Manor and decided to first fully explore it before I start doing any of its assassinations. Well in that effort I managed to kill Rykard and now everything related to the manor is locked out for along with all the items and armor sets(which I wanted btw).

Worse yet the game keeps taunting me with the possibility that he can be revived but reading through the wiki makes it obvious that its not happening. So yet again my first character in a souls game is fucked before I even finished the game and I have to restart. Thanks good for trainers so I can speedrun to the same point the game without wasting another 30 hours.

You need to wake them up first. I backstabbed one sleepy boy and gave me 0 runes. Just deal any amount damage and big aoe attacks that deal lots dot damage are good.

You can also agro the bird thing and it generally jumps off a cliff.

Hmm, I was testing Carian Retalation glitch that allows you to counter your own spell and I deal more or less 3,5-4,5k DMG with it in pve it is still weaker than bleed lol

PvP is busted.
- No more fight clubs,
- Resistances are spectacular from 75+ (but it's hard to get it up there),
- I got 15+ consecutive failed invasions because of bad connection or players entering the boss area,
- Magic users are cancer (honestly, there are homing spells without counters ... cause of lag you can never react fast enough),
- Katana users are 2xcancer (massive amount of blood weapon art spammers, that's all they do <- also the blue slash),
- If you can make the host aggro the mobs then the invasion success chance goes 50%+,
- If you encounter a semi-decent pair of players (1 magic, 1 melee) then you are fucked,
- People still disconnect when invaded, some of them just wait to be killed.

I had some funny invasions, including some guys dresses as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but I'm done with the game.

I'm sick of delayed attacks, homing attacks, estus punishing attacks, infinite stamina combos, broken poise, anime weapon arts, bloated mobs, ganks and so on.
