Super Mario Odyssey is considered as demanding game or not?

So far it runs terribly on my Ryzen, 10-13 fps.

Which ryzen ? With new update it should run 60fps on most ryzens.
Here is early access build with multicore update

Even with multicore things are not perfect still:
- openGL - works really bad on AMD, with nvidia you have to set multithreading optimizations in nv settings. Frequently stutters building shaders. But once you at least once build every shader it plays smoothly
- vulcan - fixes AMD performance, builds shaders lightning fast but generally it is less stable than opengl and doesn't save those shaders on disc atm which means every time you turn game on you build new shaders. It also has some nasty memory leaks atm.

Once they fix leaks in Vulcan and port disc based shader cache emulator will be pretty much 90% done. 10% left will be finding those bugs not allowing games to run or graphical glitches.

Tries few games on ryzen3600+gtx980

- SMO - 60fps locked - vulcan works well
- Diablo3 - 60fps, almost perfect emulation
- Astral Chians - 30fps(default game speed), vulcan crashes, opengl has heavy stutter due to shader compilation.
- Fire emblem TH - 30fps(default game speed) in opengl, vulcan crashes on startup

RPCS3 got an uber-shader implementation like Dolphin has; it's still being worked on (i.e. for the moment stuff might run worse than before) but this is great, GREAT news.

Alright, i wanna try to set up Demon Soul's on the emulator. Any up to date guide on how to do this properly? Saw they have a 60 FPS patch too now.

1. Download RPCS3
2. Download and install in RPCS3 PS3 firmware
3. get US version of DS iso
4. change write color buffers to on in GPU options and switch from OpenGL to Vulcan
5. Play

For 60fps google 60fps demon souls rpcs3 and there is whole tutorial. basically 2 options, 1 patch and one edit to config file.

To play in 60fps you need at least something like Ryzen3600 or 8700K. To play at 30fps you need something newer than 3570K@4,5Ghz as intel CPUs above ix-3xxxx series support various instructions are really needed by RPS3

You can play with something like 2500k pr 3570K OC @30fps but there will be slowdowns in several places like start of boletaria which had shitty FPS even on PS3.

Is anyone aware of a site that has tons of save data for different games? I need save data for FFIX PSX with all (possible) chocographs unlocked (but not collected). Preferably divided by disc 2 and disc 3/4.

the new Async Shader update for Cemu's Vulkan API is coming along great! IN the video the guy showcases just how smooth and stutter-free playing a game for the 1st time is without any caches of any kind built up, just going in raw into the game, and the async shader works beautifull:

Maybe it is not in the spirit of this thread but does anyone own a RG350 and would they say it worth it if I want to play PS1 games (and maybe a few others likes gameboy Wizardries) handheld?

I tried out the new build of Cemu for myself, with the async shaders option enabled (it's tucked away inside Debug drop-down menu), and it's the real-deal; BOTW ran great with no compiling stutter, it would compile everything on-the-fly. There's still occasional "stutter" as it builds its Vulkan pipeline cache but that's barely noticeable compared to the old shader cache compiling stutters.

Well, that didn't go well. Tried Demon Souls, loaded up the game and everything is black, all i can see is the interface. Am i screwed because i got AMD?

Ayyy, nevermind, i must have hit cancel instead of apply after enabling Write Color Buffer lul.

Is the FPS counter on top of the bar accurate? Game feels a bit sluggish, but it says 30 FPS so maybe i'm just not used to this frame rate. Can't see an option for 1440 on the emulator, it only goes up to 1080. Luckily, i can keep it at 720 if i have to thanks to the integer scaling. Kinda surreal to see this game run on my PC, considering how many times i've been told it was never gonna happen.

Well, set it up with all the patches and yep, the sluggishness was the 30 FPS. I have no idea how console people deal with that shit.

Dicked around the tutorial for a bit, game has mostly run at a steady 60 FPS, dropping only when i rolled into crates, however, it seems i'm getting missing textures as i can't see my shield.

Figured out how to bump the resolution.

Wow, so far it's steady 60 FPS at 1440. Every now and then it just likes to crawl down to 30 FPS, usually when i'm braking stuff. Also, when loading a new area have to walk around a bit to make all the textures appear.

Died like a scrub on the first boss, now i'm in some Nexus shit and don't know how to get back to the fucker what the shit lul

I actually have a half a mind of playing it like this. Wasn't actually expecting much, not with a scrub CPU like the 2600.

BTW, i see... ghosts? But the game is offline, did they put fake online shit in there? You mean all the time when i saw ghosts in DS1 or 2 it was fake people? What the shit.

The slowdowns are a combination of 2 things:
1. The emulator compiling SPU code
2. The game always presenting 30/60FPS, even if the game was unable to render the frame in time (so it just reuses the last).

Is it really playable all the way through? Last thing i need is invest heavily into this game only to discover down the line i can't move forward because of some game breaking shit. That would suck.

Also, the setting is weird. Like, the soldier armor has a nazi helmet what the heck is that. Also, why is everything so damn dark? Looks like "Dark" Souls was the bright one.
