"The writing also made me cringe so hard at times I think even the neighbours heard my groans of despair." After that sentence I was sure that it was written by a woman. And I was right.

Hm, I thought it is a millennial soy-loving faggot but probably these days this is the same.

Make the Codex Great Again! RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Still not sure how the projectile system will work, will it be abstracted like in nuXcom or not?
Do you mean ballistic modeling like Urban Strife or Phoenix Point? I think it's fair to assume JA3 would have bragged about it a lot by now if they were doing that.

I don't want you guys to hope.
It's far too late for a wish like that.

Wait - this isn’t using a ballistic model??
In an earlier gameplay clip we saw someone moving around to get a better angle (but not straight up flanking a guy) in sticky cover, aiming appears to be at least line of sight based.

Edit Ghulgothas'
FAKE NEWS
: it doesn't look like nuxcom full/half cover shit unless flanked here in this first gamescom trailer (unless these damage values were reduced):

German playthrough of first hour. Game itself is in English.

I have no expectations of being as good as JA2, but a :4/5: that doesn't piss the name would be enough and totally doable.

OH NO, do you mean this game has no ballistics, but features unheard-of design like 4 man squads and pod mole popping? How could such a thing happen and what could've caused this in this honest and genuine JA sequel I've been waiting for with my pants down.

Yeah, I'm just confused. Going by the German video it kinda looks like it does. But I have not heard any statements from the devs about how it works.

I'm mostly shitposting, but this is what it looks like in the screenshots and videos. And since 4 man squad is a golden nu-xcom standard and this game is proper tactical pc experience for prestigious gentlemen and not nu-xcom at all that's probably what it is.

yes yes, of course

And since 4 man squad is a golden nu-xcom standard and this game is proper tactical pc experience for prestigious gentlemen

sigh. i did it. i let myself believe.

at least we have urban strife and project haven
I don't remember either having larger squads.
it's less the particulars of squad size for them, and more about my conviction that they're eschewing the nuXcom formula.

if, in JA3, we're dealing with 4 man squads fighting pods with a dice-based hit system, well...

:dead:

edit: hope i'm wrong on all counts, but i feel like this is the future of JA3
