Strap Yourselves In
that's an anti femoid-in-the-workplace rant, shame he doesn't have the mind to realise it

There have been a few of those "reality" shows where they stick men on the men's island and women on the women's island. Every one of them I've seen (well, two :) ), the women have endless meetings and get nothing done; whereas, after some initial fighting and psyching out, the men quickly establish a pecking order and get everything done in sequence from the basics to the frills.

To be fair, the women do eventually get their shit together, usually after one of them nearly dies from dehydration or starvation. And they do a nice line in prettifying things up with seashells and all that. But it takes them quite a while longer.

Mind you, that could be just an artifact of "how women are supposed to be" in modern society. Women were more businesslike in the past (even my adoptive mother who was 40 in the 1960s was a whirlwind of action).

Some people here are hilarious. Not because is a normal practice for the corporations to make something stupid that makes it right. Unless of course, you have the bootlicker mindset.

You forgot the watches. Those sounded expensive.

Collecting watches is at least semi-respectable and more to the point, it's usually an okay investment. But otherwise yeah, Sawyer keeps claiming that he is oppressed by the guy on Monopoly cover, while the truth is that he has a comfortable upper-middle class income and just blows all his money on ridiculous hipster bullshit.

I checked more detailed income statistics in his city, and he's in the top 20% of his city, the greater Los Angeles area, and his state as a whole in terms of income. He beats the median of every high-income county in the country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-income_counties_in_the_United_States

He's become the dril tweet

From quickly browsing listings for homes in Irvine it appears that the median price is around $1m-1.5m (and the consensus is that it’s currently a buyer’s market). So, yeah, if he prioritized that Josh could definitely do it on a 30yr (or probably even 15yr) mortgage, but it’s still fucking nuts that that is the market.

Edit: It’s also worth noting that (in non-megacorps) benefits, including retirement plans, tend to be the purview of HR, and given that Obsidian is alleged to have awful, awful HR…

I spent all of my money on a rare bike frame, only 28 units produced in Bhutan in 1952, and now I can't afford retirement. I hate capitalism.

Western "socialists" in a nutshell really. Temporarily embarrassed upper middle class bougies who want to displace the blame for their retarded consumption decisions onto something else.

Jersey for now
IHaveHugeNick Sums pretty much every single one of his tweets about money and difficulty retiring perfectly. Holy fuck those are hilarious.

I mean shit, why is he looking in California for ANYTHING? I live in Jersey. I'm looking for retirement land in places like PA and Montana, 100+ acre lots only. Prices for undeveloped but hooked to the grid are 300K+ for 150 acre lot in PA. That's with access to state hunting lands right nearby too and a nice town within ten miles. Gotta see about well water and drilling, but if I buy it I get mineral and coal rights too, though coal and fracking are primarily in Northern Pennsylvania.

At least he was honest here about his inevitable retirement to Wisconsin

That's why I bought a house in Wisconsin in 2005 (my parents live in it). If all else fails (and it probably will), I'll have that to fall back on someday.

Why does he think everything will fail? He's a very known developer working on his own personal project for a company who recently got bought by an even bigger company who, according to them, actually doesn't care that much about what they do. He's not running out of money or jobs any time soon, and he seems to be in good physical shape.

...he is the guy on the monopoly cover.
Sawyer is a 1%er. A family needs an income of $420k a year to be in the top 1%.

The upper-middle class/lower-upper class(whatever you want to call it) rarely ever think of themselves as rich despite being some of the richest people in the world.
