After visiting every town in the world 30+ times each, I managed to get trade to 100.... (5 soc, 5 focus). At that point I am only doing it for the skill points, since I already get enough money from the broken caravans (got ~3m atm). Smithing at 115... I hate myself, without xp mods or anything. Steward is the easiest to level atm at 170 without me doing anything, just buying different kinds of food. Learning rate seems to also decay as you level. But somewhere between the broken leveling curve and the asinine economy, is a sandbox rpg with great potential.

Sandbox: e1.1.0
Storymode: e1.1.0
CustomBattle: e1.1.0

  • All fixes listed above.
  • Reverted the weight and build changes of NPCs and troops so that overweight characters are much less common. Kept the changes for special high-tier units such as Falxmen.
  • Character Skill Levels will no longer be automatically increased when a save game from a version before 1.1.0 is loaded.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred after taking prisoners in hideouts.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when a character maxed-out their attributes and focus points.
  • Fixed the black particles bug.
  • Fixed some performance spikes that happened during missions.
  • Fixed a battle crash that was caused by a character having no culture.
So there will be no more thiccness then.

There is a mod called "Slow down" to slow down caravans if you feel your caravan is making too much money risk free. Also makes it easier to catch enemy caravans. Noticed it also have the effect of lords actually going after them now, before they just ignore them (probably because they were just too fast). Not sure what the long term effect on the economy will be, but it gives the game more of a risk to caravans at least.

It seems mods that increase armor rating on armors totally breaks the economy. I tried one mod that made changes to combat, and this was one of the changes he made, and well, the battle felt good overall, highly armored dudes survived a lot longer which was nice. But the problem was - those increased armor stats spins the worth of the items out of control. I had head-wraps worth over 2k, and some kind of shoulder pads worth over 200k.

Melee combat feels like it is in slow motion now. The frantic pace of earlier builds was much more gratifying.

:decline:
A fact that is obvious once you enter practice fights or tournaments. Even low tier AIs used to parry a lot during the first builds.

Ok whoever wants to raise that nightmare skill called trade:

-Do not load your game, it seems to forget the profit margin and you don't get xp.
-Easiest material to raise it with imo is hardwood. Large min-max difference and quantities. Buy at <20, sell at >30. Price doesn't go down/up that fast when trading in large quantities too afaik.
-Trick is to also search for villages that produce it, their price isn't fluctuating. Silver is ok too, with mediocre quantities from some villages, but seems to rarely sell for a lot more.

I had to laugh raucously when I saw the outrage over on the resetera forum over the mod some guy released that brings realism to women's place in society back then instead of presenting them as empowered warrior princesseses. You shoulda heard the noise :D If you don't reset era over there, you're dead.... DEAD, I say! :P

I don't think so as much i loved warband it had their problem one was in fact that weapons lacked impact you could have a spear and stay hugged to your opponent and still doing a lot of damage just hitting the ennemy with the wooden part. In bannerlord instead you have to pay attention where to hit and with what it.
A greatsword will be useless if you will be just in the face of your opponent most likely you will hit with the base of the blade or the handle instead of the tip causing super low damage. It is more engaging and tactical than warband.

Realism? It's Calradia, not historical Medieval Europe. It is not out of the question to have ahistorical features like this. I enjoy the warrior princesses a lot more, because surprisingly, being active in the game world makes a character much more interesting.

Romances in Warband were honestly pretty boring as a dude, at least when you weren't cutting a man's head off for courting your lady, then wondering why you bothered when everyone ended up hating you and she married someone else anyway.

Still, I don't see the need to apply modern morals to the Medieval or pseudomedieval world either. Standards were much different in our history, and Calradia would differ from ours too. Instead of coming across as "empowered womyn" or whatever, I think a better approach would be to portray female warriors as nothing special, just a regular part of life in the cutthroat world of Calradia. So, no more silly "I'm not like the other girls uwu, I know how to swing a sword" speeches from the companion ladies, since that would be like if she bragged about knowing how to use onlyfans or linkedin or whatever in our world.

You know, I don't have a real problem with it myself but a small part of me always winces when I see something like historical spanish conquistadors in full armor and helmets in games dealing with sweaty vaginas under their metalworks in the sweltering heat of historical south and north america... then I usually get over it quickly enough. But there's always that tiny part of me that goes 'k, um" at first. I haven't played Bannerlord yet. Waiting for it to get out of EA in about 4-5 years :D

I want a divorce mod.
Also, Campaign AI doesn't understand reinforcing at all.
Our Vladian Army was cut down from 800 to 200 and now they're just raiding instead of recruiting to finish off the Battanians.

They've razed 5 villages in 2 months instead of taking men from them.

Main theme's so good, reminds me of Tyranny's, same inspiration?
