That draw distance reminds me of Morrowind in my GF 440MX days.

I know the feeling ton and ton of crafting recipes but nothing doable cause of limited inventory space and lacking one ressource. Theres probably some for sell on station but not enough as usual , once you completed the craft you end up finding a better version on the new ship you bought.

Played a bit more today, got frustrated by constant lack of free inventory space and the godawful dithering pop-ins. Too bad I couldn't take a screenshot - I landed of the ugliest moon I've seen with these kinds of stone arches spammed every 100 meters.

Men, don't waste time with this. Play something like Terraria for well made gathering/survival/exploration gameplay or Space Engine for the sightseeing. Asking 60 euros for pure mediocrity just tells what kind of company they are (in before the evil big publisher made them do it).

Ironically, Space Engine was made by ONE guy. Fueled by plenty of vodka and mayonez of course, but still one guy.

Played like 30 hours already. Just because i like game it doesn't there are no problems with it:

Few things i don't like:

- dislike how few resources are literally on every planet usually near some alien bases. Iron and carbon is probable but plutonium crystals littering every planet ? Huge blocks of Hardinium potting every planet like there was huge shower of them just recently.

- space. I feel like there isn't "space" it is just planets themselves and everything else is faked. Orbits etc. Especially since you reach system and 6 planets can be like rock throw away from each other which is really weird.

- waaaaaaay to many planets with lifeforms. Like 8/10 planets visited had animals on it and 9/10 had flora.

- topology of planets. Or rather lack of it. There aren't any huge mountain ranges or great canyons, no rivers, continents, no polar caps etc. Planets feels uniform like they are some 2D map repeated ad infinitum.

- every planet is populated by one of the races. There are stations, crashed ships and so on and you can't actually find barren lifeless planet that wasn't already inhabited by someone else.

- way to much gathering. Full one grid space of plutonium is like 500. You can take off from surface by using 25% of your landing thrusters power. One fill of thrusters is like 30% of those 500. So 3*4 about 12 take offs from planet on those 500 . Yes getting plutonium is easy but you have to gather it way to much. Especially since some of crafting recipes use plutonium. Zinc is annoying as i didn't find yet any planet with crystal or meteorite thus i have to walk out and mine flowers....

- waaaaaay to many structures near themselves. Like every km there is either base, outpost, crashed ship, whatever. Doesn't feel logical.

Ironically, Space Engine was made by ONE guy. Fueled by plenty of vodka and mayonez of course, but still one guy.

Over course of how many years ? NMS isn't all procedural. There is ton of handmade content that didn't made itself. Sounds, music and complexity of planets are way above those of SE.

Plus who knows how much sony helped them.

As far as i know it was PR deal and some technical stuff (game seems to run well on PS4 in therms of keeping 30fps cap properly)

I downloaded it, but don't even want to play it for free. Seems like even installing it is way more effort than this game deserves.

This game is really boring and this came from someone with low standarts for exploration/survival games.

-There is no real exploration, every planet on this goddamn universe is already got explored and colonized. And structures are just lazy ass copy&paste, every fucking race in the galaxy builds the same bases...
-No real survival, you can charge your suit anywhere you want with anything. Sentinels are joke and you can destroy most powerful ones with some basic boltcaster upgrades. Wild life is never threating enough, mostly thanks to zero AI.
-You jump to a new system and start gathering recoures for next stsyem jump. Make some credits for new ships and multitools. Grind for resources for hours. Take screenshots of nice looking vistas and "Prosperian" creatures. That's all this game about. At least soundtrack is good...

I don't know how base and titanic ship building gonna improve this game.
