I'm getting the feeling that your exposure to Forgotten Realms is pre-4e, probably mostly from Baldur's Gate and associated games like Neverwinter Nights. How do you mean 'Forgotten Realms in 5e is shit' ?No, you misunderstand. It's not just that D&D 5e is shit in itself, it's that Forgotten Realms in 5e is shit, and that has nothing to do with systemics or mechanics.
Jew-poisoning-wells thing in PnP
Players aren't supposed to be able to be whatever they want. To reinforce this point, I'm thinking about running a Kingmaker game where everyone is forced to be a Ratling. No ifs or buts.well it's kinda the point, so your players can play wtf they want
Honestly, it'd be fun to run a game where you'd be Chelaxians ("muh satanic nazis") doing an colonial expedition to the M'wangi Expanse (Bunga-bunga-land), except run it as an unironic civilizational type thing, where the M'wangi are genuine savages as in real-life Africa, and while the Chelaxians are devil-worshipping assholes as a whole, as a player you could run it as anything from the nice missionary trying to save their souls to the British gentleman trying to civilize them, all the way to full-on Belgian Congo.I want to play nazis vs bunga bunga land.
Landwhales riding dinosaurs into battle and dinosaurs are forced to ride landwhales at camp?Pathfinder also has bikini amazons from Mars with blasters riding dinosaurs, although afaik they ruined it with sjwsm.
something about sex becoming a cultural concept or whateverLandwhales riding dinosaurs into battle and dinosaurs are forced to ride landwhales at camp?Pathfinder also has bikini amazons from Mars with blasters riding dinosaurs, although afaik they ruined it with sjwsm.
Now?, elves are now sexually androgynous

>Imho most of Paizo's work on Pathfinder is really, really close in general level of retarded-ness
Yes.I want game in Arabian Nights on Crack settings.
Even mods can't make up for the linear slogfest that is ToB. So yes, the majority of my games end up with the hell battle, and after that the character gets retired. Divinity is overrated.Yeah, it's absurd to posit that people can play all the way through Baldur's Gate, all the way through Baldur's Gate II, and all the way through Throne of Bhaal without it becoming "tOo lOoOoOoNg", but would become fatigued by Kingmaker alone.Nah. It's around the Pitax Chapter and onwards where the fatigue hits. Which is due to the fact that the game felt rushed after the Pitax chapter.I'm pretty sure even the KKKonsensus agrees Kingmaker was too long.
Throne of Bhaal becomes "too long" after a couple hoursYeah, it's absurd to posit that people can play all the way through Baldur's Gate, all the way through Baldur's Gate II, and all the way through Throne of Bhaal without it becoming "tOo lOoOoOoNg", but would become fatigued by Kingmaker alone. The issue is never that a game is "too long". If your game becomes too long, it's because you've done something wrong and you can't keep it interesting, such as in the case of Pitax and then the House at the End of Time. Kingmaker was simply unfinished on release, and the end of the game was marred in such a way that it couldn't be easily fixed - Pitax being stale and the House being shit aren't exactly bugs.Nah. It's around the Pitax Chapter and onwards where the fatigue hits. Which is due to the fact that the game felt rushed after the Pitax chapter.I'm pretty sure even the KKKonsensus agrees Kingmaker was too long.
Wrath of the Righteous is only going to be 2/3 as big as Kingmaker. That's a massive reduction in size and playtime. Along with claims of impending "quality of lyfe" changes, the red flags are piling up.
BGIII is also being made by eastern europeans. It's made by eastern europeans therefore automatically goodThe amount of mental gymnastics to advocate for RTwP and the horrendous UI in this thread is astonishing.

Huge red flag in itself. Let's not forget that "feedback" was behind almost all the bad decisions of Pillars of Eternity.... they will have gotten a lot of feedback ...
