Which RTwP game has better UI?
I had a vague idea of what is going on in the IE games, but really none of them, that doesn't mean this is acceptable:

Does anyone understand which information belongs to whom? Something needs to be done about these UIs.
I can understand everything in that picture because I have an understanding of the game and it's mechanics. By the time you have Web and some cloud spell you should too. Some people want to simplify the mechanics until they're all gone like Larian. I'm glad we have a studio that keeps us on our toes like owlcat. All that information is important and needs to be shown. People like you would prefer the game has no complexity so you can understand it at a glance. But maybe RPGs just aren't for you.

I want game in Arabian Nights on Crack settings.
Funny, we were actually discussing exactly that on the Discord briefly earlier. Some Al-Qadim-inspired shit would be baller, but with everything set in Golarion, I'm not sure if it'd turn out any good. I kinda wish that Owlcat would use the Pathfinder system but just divorce it from the setting, and create their own shit inspired by better settings, whether Dark Sun or Spelljammer or Al-Qadim or even Forgotten Realms (pre-homo).

I had to mute these because user0001 spammed every single post with retarded and I came back to 40 something. I don't even have to format his username to mention him. He'll see this when he goes through all my posts at the end of the day.

The amount of mental gymnastics to advocate for RTwP and the horrendous UI in this thread is astonishing.
It's made by eastern europeans therefore automatically good

BGIII is also being made by eastern europeans.

You must be American. Only an American would list Belgium, seat of the fucking pozzed out EU as Eastern Europe. LOL. Their studio is literally across the 'river' (English Channel) from the UK but don't let that stop you. And no, you weren't being ironic.

I can understand what is going on, what nobody can understand is which information belongs to whom. We don't need this, we know we've cast Cloudkill, we only need to know whether someone passed the check and resisted. Even that can be scaled down to only the icon and "Save" next to it. In RTwP, we don't need to know every little damage and every miss with a weapon. This is not about making it more or less complex, but the more stuff happening the clearer the UI and battlefield should be. Overspamming you with badly presented or useless information is not a virtue. If you absolutely necessarily want to know who did 4 damage, you have the combat log for that. But you keep harping on the RTwP and "complexity" thing, you do you, buddy.

useless information that is obscuring actually important information.

You don't need to know what spell they're saving against? What if two spells went off at once? What if there's an over time effect that they could be saving against? In this case less information would make everything more confusing. You can't just have the word 'save' on the screen because that doesn't tell us anything. I guess it would be nice if there was an option to get rid of them for people who just don't care but I see that picture and I'm very happy that the game is letting me know what's happening. If you pause the game and highlight a character it tells you who the line belongs to if it is a big battle with a lot going on. Things like that I consider good design that make it easier to understand, not just getting rid of it.

I said the word save should be next to the icon it saved against. Atm it has the icon and the name of the spell, and what type of save it is (you can shorten that to F.), and that it was saved against.

Maybe their Heroes of might and magic clone will be so good that they create a spin off series. Kind of like the card game in witcher 3 but more suited to my interests.

Design a Pathfinder game with 60 classes and 30 races and 20 mythic paths for RTwP.

Then add a turn-based mode for your devs to balance.

Then top it all with tactical combat inspired by HoMM.

What can possibly go wrong?

If it plays well enough it could serve as a foundation for a DLC.

It's fine. They're not going to balance turn based. It's just in because they were getting annoyed by TBers.

Can't they just finish Pathfinder and then make a strategy RPG making both at the same time sounds impossible.:?

Larian has quite a big branch in Saint Petersburg, Russia. So, technically, you can say that BGIII is also being partially made by eastern europeans.

Do you remember when Troika used to dream big and Tim Cain shared his pizza to lure devs into making little thing called Fallout? These guys vibrate the same vibe

is this turning into a feature creep?

I hope not, so far the game is looking quite promising, but it does worry me that they are trying to cramp too much. Worse case scenario, I could see them adding some of this stuff as (hopefully free) DLCs later. I just wish for them to refine the AI and the combat encounters, as well as releasing the game as stable as possible and add as many missing feats and classes as they can, the rest is nice but really for me those are the most important issues.
Not gonna lie though, it does sound awesome to lead your forces against the hordes of evil.
