Well i have to say this in the gameplay trailer i seen more roleplay elements than the one hour long gameplay demo of cyberpunk 2077.

Whedonesque aesthetics is a cancer, people should stop mentioning it as a good thing. It may have worked well in Buffy and Firefly, but it is not something good on its own. E.g. nuBioware dialogs and characters are basically whedonesque. And they are mostly horrible.

Writing in The Outer Worlds - at least those bits of it which were shown in screenshots and a gameplay video - is pretty abysmal and slapstick. I would not even say that it is that akin to Firefly, as for now it feels much more stupid and less subtle, and Firefly writing itself was not too subtle or clever to begin with.

Heh, been waiting for "an RPG Renaissance" for 25 years, nothing on the horizon yet. Only graphics and animations have been improved everything else is either still stuck at the 90's or is worse now.

Whedon has destroyed and corrupted a whole generation of writers, that now worship him. Its the same thing in the comics industry. May as well get used to it.

GI's new gameplay today views: 139K, several times higher than all other new gameplay vids: https://www.youtube.com/user/gameinformer/videos

İmagine if the game didn't look "a bit" dated :P / xbox fans now: "imagine what will they do with MS budget!" / feargus now: "should have waited couple more months before signing damn it" / josh now: "how many times do I have to fucking tell you that I'm only involved as an advisor ffs"
