Pierre would be very proud of these guys.

He didn't mention, but be careful: there is a spot between 33-60% hp where she can be killed by single crit from boss, or strong hitting mob even. Especially dangerous with armorbreak stacked. Immortality can save, but too random to rely on it IMO.
Interesting what he says about playstyle in the beginning. E.g. he seems to prefer those flashy glass cannons one-shot-one-kill teams, and says that barbarian's gameplay is odd to him. I on the other hand, really liked having those "never going to die" tanky frontliners for my second playthrough and had two battle mages with similair playstyle even before she joined. Slapped Lunatic Beast berserker masteries on top of Iron Heart(+ infinite heals) later and really enjoyed "1 vs all" brawl combat instead of 1s1k cheese. BM's are technically "slower" because they won't run AND attack on their own during enemies turn, but in the end it hardly matters.

The devs of this game are absolutely 100% the biggest passion project devs I've seen.

The game mechanics are so crazy only an absolute obsessive who loved the genre would care about programming them.

He talks about financial planning and how they expected to make more than they did. How the fuck are they still developing the game, for free?
Although we want to have financial insight and we kind of think about financial matters, we simply don’t know very much about that. So, we will just continue to develop games as long as our users enjoy playing them. Then, we believe that one day or other, the financial problems will be solved. Some may say we’re not professional. Yes. We are totally inexperienced in financial matters.
Nevermind.

I see Pierre has found a match when it comes to economics.

It's too bad as they say that Kickstarter isn't an option for them because they're in Korea, it would have been a great way to fund Troubleshooter 2.

They should do it like the Battle Bother guys and release some optional supporter DLC, I already own everything they sell.

This reminds me of South Park's underpants gnomes.

1. Develop game.
2. Keep developing game forever.
3. ???
4. PROFIT!

This almost makes me want to do work for them. Not that I understand the Korean language or anything.

I've started the game and am trying to run in sword dude as a "run in and counter everything" guy. Problem is he's a bit lacking in sustain. That "blood sword" ability sounds like it would fix it, but I need some sort of "life drain" to get it - any idea where that's from?

So far my plans are

- Sword dude - counter tank that frontlines for the team. Defensive and sword related passives.

- Lightning mage dude - pure focus on ranged damage with the "bloodwalker" mastery (big stat boosts and life on kill when low hp). Save up the chain lightning if a bloodwalker proc is incoming.

- Fire girl - another melee counter person, focus on "hero" and "my dream" passives, send her in alone to do side objectives. Use the ranged attack if the random buffs boost it.

Does that sound like a good plan?

Yep, that's about the size of it, but that's a very early stage - many more tactical opportunities open up as you get more of the characters (Heixing, Ray, Giselle, the robot chick). It can even switch around to having Lightning boy or Martial Arts girl as battlemage tanks to wade in and take the heat, with Ray doing massive AoE, etc.

To toughen up Sword boy, I suggest paying attention to some of the early sets made up of standard masteries, there are some pretty good sets there that beef up just general survivability, etc. - then mid-game you start switching to more esoteric and specifically tailored, intricately interwoven mastery sets made up of rarer masteries. But early on you can really only have one "neat trick" and fill in the rest with those basic mastery sets (e.g. for him, either focus on the parry thing or Bladestorm, leaning towards more defensive or aggressive play, respectively).

This guide lists where you can find masteries: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1971619284

This guide lists all the mastery sets: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1349483727

This guide contains mastery descriptions: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2037290423

If I remember correctly, you will get life drain around the time when you get the fifth party member.

Your plan sounds good. However, Albus is not as tanky as Irene or other characters. He should be treated more like a ninja, but not as a tank. This game has extremely rich build porn. In making a build you are limited only with your imagination. If you have an idea try it, and see how it works.
