Someone explain the value system to me, specifically:

Pistol A

Pistol B

Why Pistol B isn't the most expensive. Only differences between the pistols as far as I can see is that B has both more current and maximum durability and deals more damage.

Jesus a three page circle jerk about pistols. The refined Underrailer knows there are only three builds:

1) The Shotgun Jesus.
2) The Hammer Wizard
3) The Cave Jedi

Everything else is for meme enthusiasts.

All UnderRail builds can directly trace their genetic lineage back to the game's primordial pre-alpha, wherein dwelled a fearsome apex predator that modern professions have formally recognized as the 'Ur-Build'; Tinnericanus Ayahr.

Or 'Tincan AR' for short. Sadly none of its secondhand progeny, even after years of updated natural selection, can ever hope to match it's raw destructive power or astonishing virility.

Some sources say this bestial megalodon of raw statistic power still lurks out there, in some dark, forgotten playthroughs...

Man for all the PTSD I see on here for Depot 4, Grey Army Base gave me a much harder time. Styg you sadist :negative:
You've cranked up the challenge yourself, man. I assume you're only like 12-15 lvl by now. I mean, it's nice, I remember doing the whole expansion too early as well while shitting out a lot of bricks but that also mean the rest of the game may appear to be kinda boring afterwards. No one forces anyone to complete all the content in one go though either.

I was level 8 lol, so pretty horribly underleveled. I only managed it by stuff like using a Mark III Lockpick (from the cannibal cave) and eating Junkyard Surprise to make my Lockpick level 91 for a 90 req lock and stuff like that

From Depot A to around lvl14, I just do minor things (like quick side quests and walking around picking Oddities- are you playing Oddity or Classic?) to level up. And yes, you were underleveled there.

Oddity. And yeah that's the plan. In fact I thought that was what I was doing haha. Bear in mind I've only played this before Expedition and only some short runs, so I'm completely blind on DOM, and I'm not touching a walkthrough. Though Jack is giving me a tip now and again

enter any engineering university and you will find plenty of people being able to build electronic devices but not knowing how to use washing machine
you might even find those knowing how to build washing machine

I was obviously joking, but the joke was that you can't actually learn how to make a bandage despite being able to learn all that other stuff (unless I missed the blueprint)

Do I need to check some guide/internet build before I start first playtrough, or can I just go blind? How hard is this game.

I went in blind on my first run. Used a guide for a build on a second run.

Guidless should work on normal.

I'm playing kind of Blind on Dominating currently and it's one of the hardest games I've played so far. I went deep into build guides before starting, so I'm only blind as relates to content (where I know shit and don't use the wiki or anything like that). I've had to ask jackofshadows for a hint or two, but otherwise I've been fine. However some quests can be a PITA without the wiki, but I'm soldiering through... for example, some quest directions seem to be wrong (maybe they were right before new content was added?). I just did a quest in Railroad Crossing and the directions were completely off.

I would definetely not recommend playing Dominating without one or two test runs and a rock solid idea of your build though. It's hard enough as it is for a noob. On Normal I can't imagine it wouldn't be fine going in totally blind.

You CAN go in blind, but be prepared to restart if you cuck your build. Could always make an initial stat distribution and then drop it here so we can lyk if you're going to be fucked or not.

I do not remember anything like that, do you remember the occasion?

Yes, it’s the quest for finding the emitter to turn off the Plasma Sentries. Quest giver tells you to go directly south - but there are multiple passages south, and in fact, you’re not even supposed to go directly south, but southeast. If you go directly south the remaining directions you’re given make no sense.

Fake edit: in fact, even the Wiki is wrong I see:

An abandoned warehouse near Rail Crossing, directly south of it.
